Is it just us who whenever Damian Gammaticas comes on the BBC that sings 'is just passing by' in the style of Court of King Caractacus?

Any other unusual songs in your house?

If anyone says “I woke up this morning” we follow it with a blues riff.

DH often says “the sun is shining” in the morning, to which I reply “but it's raining in my heart”

Lots of dog songs, including “no no, no no no no, no no no no, there's no dinner” and Feed the Dogs to the tune of Feed the World.

Anyone who says “stop” gets “Hammer Time”

We've got loads more...

If it's raining I sing either It's Raining Again by Supertramp or The Sun and The Rain by Madness. Both start with they lyrics "it's raining again" so it's a surprise bonus for my kids as to which one I'll sing. 😂

We also do Soreen, Soreen, Soreen, Soree-een.

And Who Put the Bins Out? (Woof! Woof woof!!)

I have to return to this thread to let you know that earlier this evening we were dishing up supper with DD and DS. The vegetables to go with supper were carrots and peas but DS doesn’t like peas so just picked some carrots out. I expressed my continuing bafflement that he could actively dislike such an innocuous vegetable. DS said “actually it has been a very long time since I tried them. Maybe I should give them another go?”

DH looked at each other and cracked up before bursting in to a chorus of “All we are saaaayyying. Is give peas a chance!”

Not quite what you asked for.... but we call Paul O Grady

Poor Old Lady
Just sing it in a Radio 2 jingle voice ( as we do every Sunday when cooking the dinner )

@idontevenknowanyonecalledblurb

I can't believe someone else does the I've got the key I've got the secret! I thought it was just my husband! Every time!!
We do this one too. We also sing M.A.N.G.O. to the tine of D.I.S.C.O every time we eat mango and whenever dd2 wears her Gruffalo pjs we sing "Gruffalo pyjamas" to the tune of "Buffalo Soldier". Dh changes the words to songs a lot actually!

When a child shouts "let me go!"
"Bismillah, no! I will not let you go!"

I've got a lyric for just about everything to DS1's chagrin.

We've found a walk which has a patch where a cock freqyently crows. DS2 and I sing "duh duh duh duh, good morning, good morning, good morning, good"

Anyone who says “stop” gets “Hammer Time”

We mix it up so if you say 'stop' in our house you might get 'Hammer Time', 'Collaborate and Listen' or 'In the Name of Love'.

Keeps them on their toes.

Frozen peas with dinner always accompanied by me and DH singing ‘Peas are good, Peas are good‘ to the tune of Ebenezer Good. The 90s have a lot to answer for..
