Nice yogurt recommendations

I've been buying the M&S West Country Luxury Yogurts recently. They're delicious, lovely flavour and very creamy. I could eat one every day. They are quite expensive though (75p each or 5 for £3.50).

I've tried the fudge, apple crumble and vanilla and they were all really nice.

I wondered whether anyone can recommend something similar to try.

I tried the cherry one and found it a bit sweet/not yogurt-y enough.
I like The Collective brand, especially the passion fruit. They are expensive but they're big pots, 450 grams.

ElderMillennial · 20/04/2021 21:00

Where are those from @Tartyflette? M&S as well?

Didn't realise but they're on special offer at Waitrose at the moment!

Oops, no they're not, very old web page 😳
I get them from Budgens.

aldi special selection extra thick ones are yummy the raspberry one is to die for

Ravenspeckingearly · 20/04/2021 21:14

sainsbury's taste the difference range. DS will only eat M&S luxury or Sainsbury's TTD yogurts.

RainingBatsAndFrogs · 20/04/2021 21:15

Tim’s Dairy Bio Live Greek yogurts.

The best yogurt flavour and texture, IMO. Waitrose. Asda, Co-op

PelvicFloorTrauma · 20/04/2021 21:16

Tim’s Dairy are delicious. We eat a big pot of the Greek style every single week.

ElderMillennial · 20/04/2021 21:16

Haven't tried those Collective ones @Tartyflette but Waitrose is a bit awkward for me as there is one nearby and I think I'd need to order a full shop to get them

@isseys4xmastinselcats I was hoping Aldi might do something comparable as I expect they would be cheaper. I will have a look at those.

Collectif are lovely. I buy the big pots too, we have one of the of pots between three of us. I don’t know if they work out any cheaper than the individual M&S pots though.

Sainsbury’s taste the difference individual pots are also really nice. The creamy fudge one especially, but the vanilla, ginger and the hazelnut ones are particularly good. Just don’t buy the rim, coconut and pineapple - it is not like pina colada and is the texture of cottage cheese.

pollylocketpickedapocket · 20/04/2021 21:17

I like Ann forshaws but they may not be nationwide. I’m up north, pomegranate and blueberry is delish.

JesusWearsPrada · 20/04/2021 21:19

The co op do an individual Irresistible West Country Lemon Curd yoghurt about 70p each. My god it's the most delicious yoghurt I've ever tasted.

Mum2jenny · 20/04/2021 21:22

All yoghurts IMO are disgusting, sorry if you actually like them.

dreamingofsun · 20/04/2021 21:22

have you tried making your own? I've got the lakeland yogurt maker...its very easy and i know what is in it.

Bumblebee1980a · 20/04/2021 21:24

Plain Greek yogurt 😋 and add your own choice of fruit. I love a mix of fruit like raspberries, blueberries etc

MrsPnut · 20/04/2021 21:24

If you have a Morrison’s nearby then Longley Farm yoghurts are the best.

ElderMillennial · 20/04/2021 21:29

I'm Up North too Grin

I will try the Co-Op ones

I do like plain Greek yogurt but it's a bit more of a faff to add stuff to it like granola and fruit.

I've had the Longley Farm ones. Maybe the only the banana one. They're ok but not as creamy as these ones, more of a traditional yogurt I think?

Never thought to make my own!

JesusWearsPrada · 20/04/2021 21:31

Longley Farm are what we used to get off the milkman in the 80's and at school 😂 hardly luxury but they're not unpleasant.

MrsPnut · 20/04/2021 21:32

Longley Farm are proper yoghurt not the chemically stuffed shit like Muller produce.

ElderMillennial · 20/04/2021 21:35

Yeah I don't fancy a Muller yogurt...

Langley Farm are a decent yogurt but they're not creamy like the M&S ones I'm liking. I'm thinking of getting a banana one next time I come across them though!

Sainsbury's Taste the Difference are very good. Personally I like the Lemon Curd & Ginger and Honey ones. The Cherry is nice, but can't stand the bits. I love raspberry yogurt but not the one in this range unfortunately, it seems quite bitter.

mynameiscalypso · 20/04/2021 21:38

Aldi's Greek yoghurt is great. The salted caramel flavour is my fave.

SuziQuatrosFatNan · 20/04/2021 21:38

Morrisons fig date and grain bio yoghurt is really good. Very creamy and a delicious flavour. It's not individual pots though if that's what you're after.

butterry · 20/04/2021 21:39

Tim’s Dairy or Fage Greek are both lovely

Firkinhavinalaugh · 20/04/2021 21:42

Plain thick Greek yoghurt (own brand - usually £1 for 600g) with maple syrup - also do a good value one. Then fruit or granola or both.

Advantage is no added “sugar” you can use it for other recipes and it lasts for ages.

Or coconut yoghurt - expensive but really good from coconut collective - it’s really fresh.

Or Rachel’s honey/rhubarb/vanilla all quite nice :).

If you get some small reusable plastic pots you can make them up and the. Add granola last minute. Also means you can eat on the go!
