Like PickAChew Germany and a similar time frame ago too. I did travel to Paris quite a bit when I was younger for business but don't really count that as it was boring and didn't get a chance to sightsee other than out of the window of the taxi !

Australia in 1998. So glad I went.

BertieBotts · 09/04/2021 08:55

I think where I am right now which is South Germany.

Barcelona actually might be further away. That's it though.

Oooh I envy you. On the bucket list but unlikely to happen.
sashh · 09/04/2021 09:17

In one direction Australia, in the other Argentina.

bathmatty · 09/04/2021 09:26

UK to French Polynesia, that's far & not sure I would do again. 2 planes & 1 boat.

DenisetheMenace · 09/04/2021 09:27

Australia

bathmatty · 09/04/2021 09:27

Dr Kathy Sullivan, the only astronaut who has also been to the deepest part of the ocean. A remarkable woman!

That's cool!

ThatScottishLass · 09/04/2021 09:29

Not sure what’s further, Australia or Bora Bora. I miss the days we could travel freely. I haven’t even seen my parents since 2019 because of the pandemic and they haven’t met my daughter ( their first grandchild).

BertiesShoes · 09/04/2021 10:01

I was going to say Western Samoa, but we also went to the South Island of NZ on same trip, so I think that is furthest, although Samoa was so different culturally.

NZ is on my return list once we can travel again!

DD volunteered in Fiji in 2019.
