Will an air purifier help my hayfever?

Every day during hayfever season, as soon as I wake, whether at 3am or 7am, I start sneezing which stops me getting back to sleep.
DH has suggested an air purifier. Is this likely to make a difference?

Roseyoldcow I’m sorry you can have allergy tests for your at an NHS allergy clinic. I’m sorry if he suffers it’s awful.

We have a small Blueair one (about £100) and it is great for DH's hayfever.

I have two -one for the bedroom and one for the sitting room. Both Levoit.

They've made a huge difference. I have two cats to which I've become increasingly allergic, in addition to hay fever, and was previously on prescribed anti histamines, both oral and nasal, as well as otc ones.

Now I get through with just one or two otc pills, if I'm going out in the daytime. In the house, I don't need them.

Mine absolutely helps! I bought originally when bushfires were making our air quality the worst in the world.

I decided to try them during allergy season and they help my allergies and DD’s asthma. I still use oral and (steroid) nasa antihistamines but can very much feel the difference. Our purifiers are just the ones I could get at the time (every where was selling out), one is the base breville. We have them in the bedrooms and absolutely worth it

Thanks for the nhs tip.
But it does sound like there is hope still! I'll hang on to the cat & see what happens 🤞👃
