Is there a celebrity who makes you feel happy?

Not like sexually or anything, just happy when you're sad. In both my pregnancies I've had some mad secret obsession with George Michael. He's just so nice to look at and listen to. Yet as soon as I gave birth, the obsession ended.

Sarah Millican
Lisa Tarbuck "Pamela, theres a cat on the balcony!!!!"

Moonwhite · 03/04/2021 22:28

Lisa from Blackpink has been my escapism this year. I'm a 39 year old Mum Blackpink fan Blush

She's so cute and smiley, while also walking an extremely politically delicate career line between Korea, China, and Thailand. I feel like if she can deal with all that stress and keep smiling, I can keep going with my day too.

@DonttouchthatLarry

will.i.am - nothing remotely sexual but he's just adorable and makes me smile, I want to keep him as a pet.
Love this ^

Tim Burgess def deserves a medal for services to music. He has kept me sane

Rainydays14 · 03/04/2021 23:06

I definitely agree with many here, I love Susan Calman programmes, such genuine interest in people I think. I’m also a Rylan fan nowadays and like previous posters have said that really surprises me!

On BBC Sounds, there is a podcast series - Grounded with Louis Theroux (love his voice) interviewing various people during lockdown. It’s really good and I particularly enjoyed Rylan, he also did Lenny Henry, and Miriam Margoyles who was completely outrageous as ever. Definitely worth a listen.

Ben Fogle. I'm listening to his book on audible at the moment and it cheers me right up. Also Monty Don Blush he just seems so nice

MrsBungle · 03/04/2021 23:42

Always Monty Don. He makes me feel like all is well.

Tankflybosswalkjam · 03/04/2021 23:43

I think monty Don would be a very considerate lover.

kingdomcapers · 03/04/2021 23:45

Sandi Toksvig
Jason Manford
Richard Osman

GuiltyPleasure · 04/04/2021 00:02

I'm generally a miserable & cynical person, but against my nature I like Rylan. He seems such a genuine likeable guy, enjoying everything he does & he's actually quite knowledgable.
Don't get the Susan Calman love though, although I think that might be because the BBC seemed to have a phase of trying to shoe-horn her into any available format, that dreadful cluedo type programme & unnecessary (ruined the format) host of the Great British Menu were cringeworthy.

HilaryEdmund · 04/04/2021 00:05

Andy Murray, I just love him!

longwayoff · 04/04/2021 00:18

Jay Rayner. Nadia Hussain. Fred Siriex. Sanjiv Bhaskar. Kathy Burke. And I read a short 'what do you do with your day? ' Q&A with Ainsley Harriott the other day. Below the line comments were open and up to about 75 at the time. Not one single negative thing about him. Hurrah. I like him too. It was really uplifting to read such positive comments. No. I'm not his mum.

LemonDrizzles · 04/04/2021 03:24

Newestname001 · 04/04/2021 08:13

James Martin

Kate Quilton (from Food unwrapped)

Judi Love

David Attenborough (I particularly liked the programme with the Queen when walking around the gardens at Buckingham Palace. They were like two old friends comfortable in each other's company)

Newestname001 · 04/04/2021 08:16

And also

Richard Osman (love House of Games) and

The experts from "The Repair Shop" - what kind, empathic people.

CricketClub · 04/04/2021 08:24

James Martin Sets me on edge! He can be quite off!
Reminds me of some ‘really nice’ bloke who will turn in a split second...
