Is there a celebrity who makes you feel happy?

Not like sexually or anything, just happy when you're sad. In both my pregnancies I've had some mad secret obsession with George Michael. He's just so nice to look at and listen to. Yet as soon as I gave birth, the obsession ended.

Just skimmed through the thread and have to very much agree with pp who said Richard Ayoade and Joanna Lumley. And Graham Norton.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 03/04/2021 21:25

And of course Dolly!

Foo2 · 03/04/2021 21:26

Definitely Marian Keyes, a wee ray of sunshine

HeronLanyon · 03/04/2021 21:28

Also Claudia winkleman - she makes me laugh and just feel kind of calm and happy.
Graham Norton - gets better as he gets older.

DonttouchthatLarry · 03/04/2021 21:34

will.i.am - nothing remotely sexual but he's just adorable and makes me smile, I want to keep him as a pet.

DioneTheDiabolist · 03/04/2021 21:41

Gyles Brandreth. He exudes happiness.

Sulusu · 03/04/2021 21:43

Monty Don
Miranda Hart
Mel Giedroyc
Nadya Hussein

All just soothing and make me smile.

TheVamoosh · 03/04/2021 21:44

James Acaster. I love his whimsical stand-up.

SappysCurry · 03/04/2021 21:50

Danny McBride 🤣😂🤣 (especially as Kenny Powers)

NemosPoorlyFinn · 03/04/2021 21:50

Chris & Rosie Ramsey

evilharpy · 03/04/2021 21:55

Dr Chris and Dr Xand, separately or together, I love them both and love watching anything they're in

Dwayne Johnson

Paddy, Freddie and Chris on Top Gear (because they just seem to be having such a laugh and it's infectious)

schroeder · 03/04/2021 21:55

Phil Jupitus- just lovely.

OverByYer · 03/04/2021 21:57

Rylan. And his Mum.
And most of the Gogglebox lot

DarkDarkNight · 03/04/2021 22:06

Kathy Burke who is just I think a good sort. I follow her on Twitter and she’s given it up for Lent and I really miss her. She is just lovely and non-judgemental and down to earth. She stuck up for Katie Price on Twitter and it just warmed my heart.

Graham Norton, he just makes me laugh. I have loved him since he was on Father Ted and Carnal Knowledge and I just love his slightly acerbic wit. I loved the Grill Graham section of his radio show and his reactions to the responses people sent in where you could just imagine his eyes rolling. He is also the best interviewer.

DarkDarkNight · 03/04/2021 22:08

Just saw Dolly Parton mentioned and God yes, she is just a ray of sunshine, charm personified. So warm but with a steely core.

evilharpy · 03/04/2021 22:09

@DarkDarkNight Yes Graham Norton! I love how scathing he is when he does the Eurovision commentary. He's a brilliant interviewer and just endlessly entertaining.

RosieProbert · 03/04/2021 22:09

Kathy Burke - and hour in her company would be a cure for all ills.
Michael Palin- seems like a kindly uncle. I find him very calming.
Jenny and Lee from gogglebox - I'd love a night out with them

WiseOwlOne · 03/04/2021 22:12

I must google Rylan Confused

Stoppissingonmyheather · 03/04/2021 22:15

Ah yes definitely Billy connelly like a breath of fresh air

FelicityCentre · 03/04/2021 22:16

fucksat50 · 03/04/2021 22:16

Jena freumes & Jason Derulo
Stacey Solomon

cricketmum84 · 03/04/2021 22:16

Raymond blanc. He never fails to cheer me up when I'm feeling down, he laughs the whole time he is cooking and comes out with these proper cute little French phrases whilst giggling to himself. He never fails to make me smile!

Puffinhead · 03/04/2021 22:17

Agree with Daisy May Cooper. I think she’s brilliant.

CallMeCleo · 03/04/2021 22:19

Xander Armstrong and Richard, his co-host.
Flanders and Swann.
Victoria Wood.
Posie Parker.

cricketmum84 · 03/04/2021 22:22

Oh and doctor Hilary Jones. He makes me feel safe and comforted.
