What film/tv series do you wish you had never seen just so you can have the pleasure of watching them all over again for the first time?

I'll go first, I wish I could watch Game of Thrones again, it's not the same re-watching it now I know all the twists and plot turns! Same for Prison Break!

I've just rewatched Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes for the first time since they were shown once a week on BBC1 and can confirm I'd forgotten what happened, even the ending- but both series were just as great as I remembered. Watched with DH this time who hadn't seen them before.

Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul for me, glad there's a new season of the latter on the way in the not too distant future .

Ooo and Stranger Things.

HoxtonBonnet · 30/03/2021 08:14

Mad Men and Breaking Bad.

HoxtonBonnet · 30/03/2021 08:17

.. and Succession was incredible!

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 30/03/2021 08:56

Ditto to The Detectorists.
It was genius.

Despite not being in the least religious I also loved Rev.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 30/03/2021 08:59

And a couple of oldies,
The Way We Live Now
and much older still,
The Pallisers

But that’s at least partly because I’d enjoyed all the books.

David Suchet was outstanding in TWWLN though, ditto Shirley Henderson.

ThrowingAShellstrop · 30/03/2021 09:12

OH MY GOD!!! Totally forgot about Quantum Leap!! Loved that program. Would love to watch it with eldest DD!

PleaseReferToMeAsBritneySpears · 30/03/2021 10:09

Dexter

Roseinbloom20 · 30/03/2021 12:03

Outlander - I discovered it on Amazon Prime during the first lockdown and binged watched it (and became a little bit obsessed with it 🙈) then once I finished the last episode I felt so bad that'd I'd not properly spread it out but they are currently filming season 6 🎉 so I'll wait patiently until I can get my Sam Heughan fix! Oh and it had made me definitely want to visit Scotland when we're allowed to travel - looks absolutely stunning so that's mine and DH's child free mini break sorted!

RusholmeRuffian · 30/03/2021 12:10

Sopranos
The Wire
GOT
Deadwood
Band of Brothers

GenderApostate19 · 30/03/2021 12:31

GoT, I hate that there’s no more anticipation of a new season.
Timeless, only ran for two seasons but it’s one of my all time favourites.
Bones.
Sherlock.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 30/03/2021 12:34

No Offence. The ending of series one was brilliant and I loved it! Other series just as good.

covetingthepreciousthings · 30/03/2021 12:37

Normal People, I practically inhaled it when it was on last year, it was just beautiful, and I loved it. I've watched it since, but I wish I could watch it for the very first time all over again.

Orpheline · 30/03/2021 13:31

Frasier

LadyCatStark · 30/03/2021 13:37

Game of Thrones for me too. Although, if you haven’t already, you could always read the books as there are some differences. I’d also recommend A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms which is also set in Westeros but not so much Fire and Blood which is more like a history text book.

midsomermurderess · 30/03/2021 13:38

Friday Night Dinner, Happy Valley, and yes, I am a bit obsessed, Spiral (I'd skip series 1 though).

cashmerekisses · 30/03/2021 20:22

There are so many fab ideas for what to watch on here. I can't believe I forgot 24... and I think enough years have passed that I could maybe start it again with a sufficient amount of forgotten plot info!

West wing people - do you need to watch more than one episode? I watched the first one after reading about it on here but just felt a bit meh (sorry!)
