I'll start...
Cillian Murphy only as Tommy Shelby
Viggo Mortensen only as Aragorn.

I know it's been done before but it's Sunday evening and I'm bored!

OP posts:

A bit STRANGE. Not ‘his hair went a bit trance’, what does that mean?

Tomcullenisahero · 29/03/2021 00:28

Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Neegan (normally reminds me of someone's dad)
Cillian Murphy as Tommy fucking Shelby (normally reminds me of someones wee brother)
Russell Crowe in Gladiator (normally reminds me of an angry teacher)
Love this thread by the way!

I fancied Sam Seaborn, a character in the West Wing that was played by Rob Lowe. I've never like Rob Lowe in anything else - it was Sam that I was attracted to.

How has nobody mentioned Aidan Turner? In everything except Poldark he does nothing for me, nothing. However when he is stomping around Cornwall in a tricorn hat I love him.

(His hair went a bit trance by the last series so the bloom went off Ross Poldark slightly).

I’d watched quite a bit of The Hobbit before noticing Sexpot Turner was a random dwarf with a silly name, alongside Ken Stott, James Nesbitt and Richard ‘I was definitely a sex symbol atone point’ Armitage.

I think the main problem with Vigo Mortensen is that he’s got the kind of features that look much better dirty — he’s even a lot less attractive at the end of the third LOTR film, where he’s become king, had a wash, and done his hair.

Mammyofasuperbaby · 29/03/2021 00:33

Rowan Atkinson in Blackadder II.

Whatwouldnanado · 29/03/2021 00:42

Robert Redford in the Horse Whisperer.

MrsAvocet · 29/03/2021 00:47

Another vote for Orlando Bloom as Legolas. I am indifferent to him in any other role and find him singularly unattractive in real life but I think he is absolutely gorgeous in LOTR.

Topsy1976 · 29/03/2021 00:53

Rik Mayall as Lord Flasheart

thenewduchessofhastings · 29/03/2021 00:54

Theo James as Four in divergent

Sam Heughen as Jamie in Outlander

Orlando bloom as Philo in Carnival row

AnotherSunrise · 29/03/2021 00:54

Claes Bang Dracula

AnotherSunrise · 29/03/2021 00:56

David Tennant in Blackpool wayyy before doc who

Nancydrawn · 29/03/2021 00:56

@Iamthewombat

But the main one is Tom Burke in The Musketeers. Really don’t fancy him in RL or in anything else. Must be the leather?

That is odd because I only like him when he is being Cormoran Strike. In The Musketeers he reminded me of a grumpy Siamese cat with a hat on.

HA

BRILLIANT thread!
Def agree with The Duke from Bridgerton. I think Rege-Jean Page is BEAUTIFUL but in interviews he’s cringe. Give him some Regency sass and breeches and I’m all in...
Leonardo DiCaprio in The Departed. Another beautiful face generally but he’s HOT in that one.
Brad Pitt in Thelma & Louise 🥵
Tommy Shelby, standard.
I would also add Alexander Dreymon as Uhtred in the Last Kingdom, but I haven’t seen him in anything else and I have a feeling I’d fancy him in anything 🤪
The man to end all men though is Andrew Scott as the Hot Priest. I’ll never get over him.

AnotherSunrise · 29/03/2021 00:57

Aidan Turner!

WhereYouLeftIt · 29/03/2021 01:16

@EarringsandLipstick

OK. You Blackadder-fancying people are mad! The first post I read saying this I thought 🥺. Then there was a whole collection of you.

Cannot. Compute. 🤪

Eternally embarrassed about this one but - Jeff Goldblum in Independence Day

Jiggy16 · 29/03/2021 01:25

Peter Gadiot playing james valdez in queen of the South. Love him!

I totally fancy Aidan Turner as Kili the dwarf in the hobbit, he does nowt for me in anything else Confused
GinaJaffacake · 29/03/2021 01:34

Christopher Ecclestone as Duke of Norfolk in Elizabeth. He’s so wet in everything else was he was v sexy in this.

Rob Lowe as Sam Seaborn in TWW. Rob Lowe is beautiful but I’m only attracted to him as SS.

Laurence Fox as James Hathaway. It’s the intensity and vulnerability that’s attractive.

James McAvoy as Steve in Shameless. I think it was sexier because they were a real life couple.

WhereYouLeftIt · 29/03/2021 01:34

The same names keep coming up:

Hugh Laurie in House
David Tennant in Doctor Who
Rowan Atkinson in Blackadder II

Also

Michael Keaton in Batman
Kenneth Branagh in Much Ado About Nothing
John Cusack in Grosse Pointe Blank
Douglas Henshall in Primeval
Jason Isaacs in Capital City

GinaJaffacake · 29/03/2021 01:38

I find David Tennant attractive in general but far less so in DW than in anything else.

Holothane · 29/03/2021 01:45

Alan Rickmansworth in Die Hard that’s the role that got me hooked on film villains,, Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor.
Eric Roberts as the Master.

Holothane · 29/03/2021 01:55

Dilemma1112 can I also agree Jon Simm as the Master, thud.

FlurkenSchnit · 29/03/2021 01:56

Another one for Sam Heughan as Jamie Fraser - I actually saw two films he was in prior to watching Outlander (late to the party) and I didn't even notice that it was the same actor!

Quaagars · 29/03/2021 01:56

@Celledora

No, I can see that! More with me in the Fly though before he turned into a fly lol
