The green bins, tbf I am very excited about them starting again, I still get palpations thinking back to last year when the collections just stopped.

They're all planning a protest for Saturday outside the landfill up the road that has been plaguing the area for years with it's stench

The recently missing cat has now been found and someone wants to know if the local pets at home store is open ohh and also can someone recommend a roofer ?

Not my photos but this is what ours has been full of recently. A huge number of bollards appeared outside the train station, something to do with the bridge underneath not being strong enough for all the vehicles that used to stop out front so the middle area which was a taxi rank has been blocked off and if you are a wheelchair user or have a pram you now have to walk around the back of the bus stop. Quite a few comments on how wheelchairs or prams would get on and off the bus properly too.

Much discussion about the Air Ambulance circling last night...turns out a man burgling a house tried to evade the police by jumping out an upstairs window and hurt himself. Karma discussions ensued!

Someone advertised a cleaning job below minimum wage. Absolute pile on.

What's your thought on the skinny bins?

Oh god the skinny bins

I don't mind them, but then I've got two recycling bins, I take all my glass (hic) bottles to the bins at the park and I tend to try and buy packet stuff in recyclable packaging (Aldi is great for that).
I'm keeping quiet though as most seem to view them as the work of the devil, on a par with the school streets closures and swimming pool arguments.
I do love it. It's bonkers

A bloke is trying to flog his (admittedly very good) drone photos of the Breakwater. It’s a very long landscape photograph which he is holding at groin height and looks very phallic. Much amusement all round.

And the local police are attempting to recruit volunteers for the community sppedwatch scheme. All comments along the lines of ‘snitches get stitches’, surprisingly mostly from pensioners.

@Tiktokersmiracle DH is very disappointed with his bin. He thought it would be MUCH smaller the fuss everyone is making.
