And feel shocking.Anyone else?
Anything is better than Covid itself obviously but God I'm in agony.
Aching, hurting body since about 9pm had the shivers for a few hours but they seem to have gone for now.
Anyone else reacted like this? Dh had no reaction at all.

I had the Astra Zeneca, fully expecting the menu of side effects.

Absolutely nothing at all, not even a sore arm! In fact I kept wondering if I’d actually been injected because I felt so fine.

There’s another anecdotal theory going round that if you have the annual flu jab, you aren’t so badly troubled by side effects?
Who knows. I’m just so grateful to have had it, thank you NHS.

I had mine 4.30pm yesterday. Did a lot of prepping in case of a lost day today but none of it was necessary. I woke up feeling ok, felt a bit peculiar and achey around 2, but took paracetamol and got on with it. Hopefully that's it and I've been lucky!

I have the flu vaccine each year but felt shocking for 48 hours from about 12 hours after my covid vaccine.

And I have never had the flu jab and have been generally fine.

I suppose the reality is that you can't tell!

My worst day was 10 days after. Floored and in bed.
Apparently it’s when the immune system really kicks in.
I had AZ

BeakyWinder · 24/03/2021 07:52

"Anything is better than covid" is a strange way to think. Many people have no symptoms or extremely mild symptoms, much less than you are experiencing now.

I am not anti-vax, our roll out has been incredible I'm just not keen on the 'nothing matters except the absence of covid' narrative.

ExponentiallyDepleted · 24/03/2021 07:52

We both had AZ. DH felt awful from about 24-48 hours, fluey, achy, sore arm. I had a very mild headache which I would barely have noticed on any other day and nothing else.

DH gets an achy arm from his flu jab every year too, I've only had one but zero symptoms from that too.

BrownEyedGirl80 · 24/03/2021 07:57

I'm back to normal this morning ☺

I had the AZ, symptoms started after 11 hours, freezing cold, burning up, headache. Ok after 24 hours.
I'm not looking forward to the second jab but want to get it over with!

speakout · 24/03/2021 19:09

My poor DD had it this morning, six hours later she felt dreadful.
Still in bed, high fever, shivering, headache,

Ghostlyglow · 24/03/2021 19:55

I had mine on Tuesday. Woke up this morning feeling shocking. Everything hurt! I've been taking Paracetamol and slept for about 3 hours this afternoon. I'm going to medicate with wine tonight and hope for better tomorrow Smile
