What's the laziest thing your teen has ever done?

There have been some highlighting moments in my 15yr old Dd1's young life but tonight takes the biscuit.
To cut a long story short, she mixed some perfectly edible food that I was planning to freeze into a dish of her sisters left over dinner instead of reaching into the cupboard below for a clean bowl Angry
What's the laziest thing your teen has done to make me feel better and calm me down !!

Wee'd out of his bedroom window instead of coming downstairs. His excuse was its good for the plants Confused

Sunny4876 · 19/03/2021 20:05

@Bunnybigears sorry but I found that one too amusing Grin

Not mine but my sister and I once watched with great amusement as my 15 yr old niece tried to hang out the washing on the clothes line one handed whilst on her phone...it was bloody hilarious 😆

HoldontoOneMoreDay · 19/03/2021 20:11

YY @qualitygirl it actually doesn't matter what they're doing, one-handed just makes it funny. DS tried to pick up the clothes lying on his room floor one-handed, somehow managed to get his dirty trousers wrapped round his legs, fell over. Actually hilarious.

Potnoodleforbrains · 19/03/2021 20:12

Done a wee in a bottle because he was to lazy to walk the 10 steps next door to the toilet!

nicknamehelp · 19/03/2021 20:12

shove a half eaten plate of food in draw under bed then complain room smells a few weeks later, took some finding.

Sunny4876 · 19/03/2021 20:16

Boys and weeing anywhere but the toilet seems to be becoming a theme Grin

My daughter was in bed and wanted something that was on the floor right next to her bed. She called me from the next floor up to fetch it (I refused) that's a pretty regular occurrence!

PreparationPreparationPrep · 19/03/2021 20:59

Managing to step out of socks, pants, shorts and trousers in one go and leave them intact on the floor - a bit like an aerial view of arctic roll - looking down at the layers.

honeylulu · 19/03/2021 20:59

Ordered McDonald's from Uber Eats despite it being a 2 minute walk from our front door.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 19/03/2021 21:02

Concealed a dirty plate in an empty pizza box when ‘tidying’ his room.

Dd not interested in clothes as she’s ‘too lazy’

Happytentoes · 19/03/2021 21:14

Phoned her Dad to get him to ask her mum to bring breakfast up as she had a hangover and mum would say no. Dad was out at work ( niece - just adore her 😁)

dottycat123 · 19/03/2021 21:38

Ds1 after 4 years at uni where he had moved between student houses came home with a total of 63 pairs of boxer shorts as it was often easier to buy more than do any washing.

Knittingnanny · 19/03/2021 21:46

Years ago when I had 3 teenage boys at home, I got home from work one sunny afternoon to find them, as usual, playing cricket in the garden. Instead of taking the dry washing in from the rotary dryer which was “ in the way of the game”, they lifted it full of clothes and propped it still open against the far end of garden fence.

Mine swapped his tv for a smaller one because he said he didn’t want to move his eyes anymore when playing call of duty!

crystalcherry87 · 19/03/2021 21:52

Spilled a big pot of bright orange sauce on his bed after eating a takeaway upstairs. Then slept in it for 3 nights until I discovered it smeared all over his sheet, duvet and pillows.

That lad will go far, mark my words. Genius.
Silkies · 19/03/2021 22:06

DS (asd and 14) the latest lockdown he has barely moved from the sofa - I asked him if he was hibernating and he said yes that's exactly the right word for what I am doing. He did at least ask to learn the French for I'm hibernating for when French teacher asks what everyone has been doing though he asked me to google it for him.

LindaEllen · 19/03/2021 22:12

Left his bedroom door banging regularly and loudly because he couldn't be arsed to either a) close his window or b) close his door - either of which would have solved the problem. He has a very small bedroom, and never seems to have problems sneaking down at night for snacks, but when it's something that'll let us all sleep, oh no, couldn't possibly!

Silkies · 19/03/2021 22:12

DS was also advanced at laziness, not waiting to be a teen. At primary if I asked him what he wanted to do he would always reply 'it's a lovely day for doing nothing'.

miltonj · 19/03/2021 22:19

Not got teens yet, but my DP once wiped his nose on a clean sock out of the freshly washed laundry pile. Hmm

Sunny4876 · 19/03/2021 22:20

Another one,she insists we go for 3 mile walks every day but isn't able to go into the next room to get something she needs Grin

DS1 once texted me from the conservatory (it was his 'den') while I was in the sitting room asking me to make him a cup of tea.

I was so impressed with his cheek that I actually did. He was most surprised Grin

Everything. Just everything. Smile

Daytimetellysucks · 20/03/2021 06:49

DD1 cleaning her room, gathered up all the dirty cups and plates and put them on my bed rather than take them downstairs.

Put a dead goldfish in a dirty cup as she didn’t know what else to do with it. I found it about a week later when she finally brought her dirty plates and cups downstairs (she had a fish tank in her room which to be fair, she looked after perfectly)

She is now 19 and thank god she’s grown up somewhat since

DD2 has a broom stick in her room which she uses to change the angle of her wall hanging TV without getting out of bed
