What's the laziest thing your teen has ever done?

There have been some highlighting moments in my 15yr old Dd1's young life but tonight takes the biscuit.
To cut a long story short, she mixed some perfectly edible food that I was planning to freeze into a dish of her sisters left over dinner instead of reaching into the cupboard below for a clean bowl Angry
What's the laziest thing your teen has done to make me feel better and calm me down !!

I’ve just shared this with my middle teen now aged 35 and he said “ spraying furniture polish in the air around the room so when I got home I would think he had cleaned like I was paying him to do”
I think I probably suspected that!

Called her father from her bedroom and asked for croissants and coffee. We didn’t have any so he got in his jam-jar and nipped over to Sainsbury’s.

Bunnybigears · 21/03/2021 21:34

@Pyewackect got in his jam jar? Is he a Borrower?

AlexandraPeppernose · 21/03/2021 21:37

Earlier my 15yr old gave me her pork crackling as she "couldn't be bothered to chew it"

HerMammy · 21/03/2021 21:39

Phoned me from her bedroom(next to mine) to ask if I could bring hairspray to her; despite there being a huge tin less than 2ft from her 🤷🏼‍♀️

DS2 face timed me from upstairs (i was downstairs) asking me to make him something to eat because he was hungry, DS2 was 15 at the time and perfectly capable of cooking food

When my eldest DD used to compete (horse riding) she would only clean the outside visible half of her riding boots. The other side (hidden against the horse) would be absolutely filthy!

and another one same son paid his brother £5 to do the washing up that i'd asked him to do, he was in 6th form at the time and not actually earning any money

Mine was last week when she used the down stairs study window to get outside into the garden and only to hear my neighbour ringing my doorbell saying they have seen someone entering my house through the window and wanted to call the police and I was confused because I was in the house and my daughter was in the study doing her school work and her trainers were outside

Rainbowdino · 21/03/2021 21:58

This is brilliant. My eldest is 5, can’t wait to have teenagers Grin

Not my teen dc but my dh when he was a teen. Slept in his uniform to get some extra time in bed. Only discovered by his dm after several weeks.

Dd texted dp from upstairs asking him to get her sanitary pads. Like a fool, he dutifully did a 30 minute round trip to the nearest garage to buy some, took them to her bedroom door and told her he'd be downstairs and to call if she needed anything else. He was a bit confused when she asked for refreshments, but brought them anyway.
It hadn't occurred to him that dd just couldn't be bothered to replenish the bathroom cupboard for later from the supplies we always have in.

Dsd once came down in pjs and her school blazer, raided the kitchen and disappeared upstairs again with all her pockets bulging because carrying food was too much effort and her blazer was the closest thing with pockets.

When they were 14 and 16, they bought a 4 pack of cheap supermarket glasses and left them on the sink, under the impression we would view them as a suitable substitute for all the kitchenware they couldn't be bothered returning from their bedrooms. This was after we'd previously had a full scale debate about why they couldn't just eat from paper plates and have recycling bins in their rooms.
