I would say accidentally throwing my Nintendo Wii remote into the telly and breaking it.

Sat on my hands on a car journey (passenger) pulled my hands out but didn't lift my legs/thighs to do so. Dislocated my thumb on my left hand.n

Stood on a garden rake and the handle hit me right between the eyes.

Ran into a lamppost.

Broke my ankle when pissed, offered my 15 stone friend a piggy back while I was wearing 4 inch heels.

It’s best I stay at home tbh.

Mine are caused by stupidity rather than being freaky,

When I was 4 I stapled my thumb REPEATEDLY to a stack of paper while my parents were wallpapering Grin

I somehow manage to fall down full flights of stairs whenever I'm in early pregnancy, I did it 3 times in the space of a week with my youngest (I was less than 12 weeks pregnant), I'm pretty sure that's why she's my strange 1 who takes Barbie's legs to the shop so she can't run off Hmm

And in September I tried to catch a brick I had dropped while holding more bricks resulting in me slamming 2 bricks together with my finger in the middle🤦‍♀️ . The pictures were took an hour apart, I still haven't got any feeling in that finger and my nail finally fell off in January 🤣

My DS used to be a ballboy for a Championship football team. On his 11th birthday he was given the job of head ballboy which came with the downside of the away stand duty. That night one of the players misjudged a goal attempt and it came flying over the track hoardings straight into the stand, where it belted DS in the head, knocking him unconscious. The game was on Sky as well, a few of the players abandoned the pitch to check if this little lad was alright, he had the paramedics there in a flash and the whole incident made it to the TV coverage, and newspapers the next day. I was watching this from my job in the control room, in horror, not able to go and comfort him (luckily DH was pitch side working and went with him to the medical room). Horrifying experience. But the chanting at the match after, of the home fans outraged that an away player had injured one of their ballboys, was quite plentiful. Very strange one.

walked down the attic stairs with my back facing the stairs, wearing fluffy slippers. was in so much pain but it didn't stop me from doing it again. i fell again and needed physio for slipped discs 🙄 never did it again then haha

hohohobitches · 10/03/2021 07:55

also was heating oil in the wok to make a lovely stir fry. went to the living room to grab my phone but Eastenders was on the telly and caught my eye. I stood watching it for too long and was walking back to the kitchen. saw the wok with fire in it, nearly reaching the extractor fan.

bloody terrifying. both my accidents were 16 and 10 years ago so i've done well since 😂

My bf, came home late a little worse for wear, and trying to take her tights off, got her foot tangled in the leg, fell, hit her head on the wall and knocked herself out.
My DH, suddenly screamed in pain in bed one night. He’d flung his leg out and his foot hit the wall next to the bed so hard, he broke his big toe. His explanation? I was having a dream I was Rodney Marsh. Grin

Riddo · 10/03/2021 08:11

Just before Christmas last year, I caught my toe on the wall at the bottom of the stairs. It made an awful noise and was definitely broken. It's still aching now. I don't know how I managed it, we've lived in this house for over 20 years and the wall hasn't moved!

QueenPaw · 10/03/2021 09:40

Broke my ankle and foot. No idea how I did it. Just got out of bed and it hurt

Mrsfrumble · 10/03/2021 09:50

We were sight seeing in Liverpool, and took the children to see the Catholic cathedral. DD was so excited to see it she let go of her scooter, which rolled into my path just as I was stepping forwards. It acted like a banana skin as I trod on it and went arse over elbow on to the pavement and knackered my foot in the process. I had to limp up all the steps and sit in the cathedral, feeling nauseous with the pain, all while pretending I was fine so as not to upset DD who was devastated at the thought that she’d hurt me.

We’re not even Catholic.

I've spent most of my life living in flats, bungalows and other no stairs environment. When I have encountered stairs in the past I have frequently fallen down them.

When my mum was ill (terminal cancer) the council fitted a stairlift.

My mum was using it to go upstairs when the phone rang so she jumped off to get the phone and broke her wrist. I'd bought my parents a set of cordless phones so they could have one upstairs or carry with them, but they hadn't used them.

We’re not even Catholic. LOL

That reminds me, my grandmother walked out of York Minster, put up her brolly and the brolly was promptly struck by lightening. We told her not to go into churches again.

longtompot · 10/03/2021 14:32

Not as bad as a lot of these, but when giving birth to my youngest the anglepoise type light attached to the wall suddenly fell on my head mid contraction! I wasn't hurt just confused.

Blurberoo · 10/03/2021 15:23

@QueenPaw I’ve got quite a big scar on my left rib cage, looks like a bad burn, I’ve no idea how I got it! It turned up sometime before I turned 11 but I have no memory of any incident. Asked a doc once who also said it looked like a burn. Spooky

Sideorderofchips · 10/03/2021 17:59

Middle child of mine tripped over thin air, onto grass and broke her collar bone
