Alison Hammond is out of her depth, isn't she? Painful to watch

Just checking it isn't just me.

I don't dislike Alison at all! She's done some fantastic interviews, but she just can't present, not to this level, so why did she get the Friday This Morning gig?

Watching through my fingers. Dermot isn't much better, but he can just about read an autocue at least!

Did I read that Philip Scofield pushed for her to get the job? I suspect just to get Ruth and Eamon out.

Surely if it's that bad, there are other tv channels to watch? Or do something else, it was a very sunny day where I am yesterday?

As much as I know now that Richard and Judy were of their time, I bloody loved them.

I had basically said that that I no longer watched due to Philip schofield and the alleged scandal around why he came out when he did. There are other presenters of the show eg John Leslie that were let go for less.

I agree with you, it just does flow and seems false. I enjoy watching Eamomn and Ruth and the way they tease each other. Rochelle talks over and interrupts people
I think Philip has had his day, he has been over exposed and I just want to see someone else. Ben and Holly worked well

Because the golden couple can do no wrong, also many people (those without a sense of humour) find Eamon offensive

Don't watch any of these but - Dermot? His longstanding career is a mystery to me. Maybe its the apparent absence of personality that makes him safely employable?

I think they ought to give Lisa Snowden the Friday with someone.

I watched her take over Lorraine one morning and she was briliant.

Me neither- love him and Ruth’s banter, smacks of a couple that love know and respect each other enough to take the absolute piss. We all know who the true misogynistic perv on that sofa is, and it’s isn’t Eamon.

@Roussette Holly are Phil are good at what they do? She's an absolute airhead who can just about read an autocue in between giggling she just got lucky that's all.

Rochelle Humes and her dh are really good but I suppose she doesn’t need to do it every week.

I loved Ruth & Eamon too.

It’s funny, my DD said “they’re my favourite ones.”

Alison is great in short bursts but not for presenting a programme where you sometimes have to be serious.

Dermot is so bland, okay for Radio 2 but not for This Morning which reaches millions.

And they don't work well together.

Dermot is an Energy Vampire. Thank goodness for Alison.

Alison and Gordon Ramsey (he needs the work) would be hilarious.

Dermot used to be great on big brother then I don't know what happened to him. He is boring on X Factor. He is boring on Radio 2. Boring on everything I've ever seen him on. Why does he keep getting the big gigs?

That's your opinion. Don't agree. I've never got the hate for them on MN. Phil is a bit touchy at times I think, but they are good at what they do, in my opinion

Oh she's dreadful. So irritating and overly loud. She just comes across as thick, tbh.

Alison is great in small doses, I think she’s very nervous. Dermot absolutely awful he can’t even sit up straight just lounges about , completely wrong on all levels. Richard and Judy all day long for me.
I like Eamon and Ruth, but I wouldn’t want them every day either.

Haven't watched it for years. Holly and Phil come across like irritating school children. With so many other TV options and catch up, there's no need to.

Never had an issue with Ruth and Eamon, who knows what happened behind the scenes, but I hope Alison does well, she's a lovely bubbly person.

Just in case any tv people reading it! Get rid of awful P&H, very dull, awkward and uncomfortable to watch. Phil doesn’t come across as a pleasant person and neither does Holly tbh and from what I’ve heard, she does a good job of acting sweet and nice.

I like Alison and Dermot as people but really don’t feel they’re good enough 😬
R&E are professional, natural and interesting to watch, I loved it the week they were back again.
I’d be interested to see what the viewing figures are as there’s no way people preset Phil & Holly, he’s obviously got something on management, the amount he’s been able to get away with and poor E&R have been pushed to the side, when everyone knows they’re the best of the lot! Incredulous

I also love Rylan and Lisa snowdon and Emma Willis. I loved Richard & Judy back in the day too.
