What are your and for the week commencing 8the March?

I am going to a whole house Tomm boot camp, one room per day, tidy in morning, clean in afternoon. I'm so excited 😁

Be quite sad and bored because my industry (weddings) isn't up and running yet.

MutteringDarkly · 25/02/2021 16:20

6 more home-school days to go! I will be alternating between crying with relief / shuddering at the mountain of work in my inbox that I've been doing a poor job at covering / closing my eyes to the bombsite the house has become / revelling in having an entire uninterrupted conversation.

I've reached the point where I'm physically falling apart, so perhaps something restorative like a gentle walk or a bath might be an idea as well. There has just been absolutely NO time to even breathe while trying to catch up on my job at night, and function in some way supervising home school during the day. I know I'm preaching to the choir here.

YetAnotherWalk · 25/02/2021 16:23

Hopefully catching up with myself when I'm not trying to juggle work/house and home schooling all at the same time. Maybe it'll feel like a mini holiday, but I know then there's waiting for the dreaded phone call or email that someone has tested positive somewhere and now you're stuck in for 10 days Sad

Working (in school) but may have a couple of hours per week with no children in the afternoon, which is super exciting. Am hoping to sleep, as my toddler currently doesn't.😬🙄

mindutopia · 25/02/2021 16:30

Work same as every other day, except my dc won't be locked in the lounge watching Netflix until bedtime.

Springsnake · 25/02/2021 16:30

Mine has sen ,been out of school 3 years waiting for special school ,so no change for me ,will still have to spend 4 hours doing his work with him

Crunchymum · 25/02/2021 16:35

As per (far too many) PP's I'll just be happy to be able to work without worrying about homeschooling / entertaining the kids.

It's been a huge test of emotional endurance and I hope we've all come through unscathed.

MatildaStoker · 25/02/2021 16:44

I’m hoping to spend a bit of time just lying on the floor and listening to the silence.

And then there’s a lot to catch up with around the house. Most of that’s been at the bottom of the priority list during lockdown, and it’s turned into utter chaos.

Emmacb82 · 25/02/2021 17:36

Enjoying my last 3 weeks of maternity leave before going back to work 😭 my poor baby hasn’t had much time and attention.

MinnieMountain · 25/02/2021 18:39

Walks by myself at a sensible time of day.
And overtime.

Strugglingtodomybest · 25/02/2021 18:42

What I'd like to do is pop a bottle of Champagne, and sit out in the sun and drink it. What I will most probably do though is catch up on work.

goldpendant · 25/02/2021 19:07

FT job but booked the 8th off to blitz the house and the 9th off for 'me'.

Going to bin sooo much paper, kids work (will keep some choice bits), sort all the pens/paper/craft crap. Tidy up their rooms including huge de-clutter, likewise for winter clothes now that they are back in uniforms and spring is coming.

On my me day I'll go for an early run, stop via the naice coffee shop that's open, have a Waitrose/M&S browse (flame away), and then potter around my tidy silent home.....

YES!

This.
chipsandgin · 25/02/2021 21:29

Just work full time, in the day in my contracted hours instead of home-schooling badly and trying to work simultaneously & failing then working until midnight every night whilst doing my job badly/missing deadlines & being stressy, short tempered & run down, can’t wait!

Might even tackle the washing mountain. My cup runneth over 😂..

drspouse · 25/02/2021 21:37

We've only had DCs home on our days off so I'll be chilling, might go for a bike ride, do my nails, do some sewing.
Unfortunately DS school finishes at 1.30 on a Friday which is my day off so I won't be doing it for long.

TwoZeroTwoZero · 25/02/2021 21:41

Have the Monday off so dh & I can have some time together without the dc.

Have the Tuesday off so we can tidy up the house.

Be available for work from Wednesday onwards and hopefully get enough so that we can keep the roof over our heads.

Gwenhines · 25/02/2021 21:46

Relish that my working day isn't littered with me constantly whinge saying "please I've got to work, please let me work" and actually get work done.

Thoroughly enjoy the school drop off and pick up, and how nice it'll be to walk to and from school twice a day, even how nice it'll be in the rain.

But before the 8th I'm going to enjoy a week of giving up on home schooling. I kept DD going during half term so that she could have the week off it before going into school, whenever that would be.

MillyMinamino · 25/02/2021 21:52

I'll do loads of lovely activities with my 1yo instead of handing the poor child an ipad (which she is now shockingly adept at using!)
