Has anyone had the (Oxford) Astrazeneca jab and felt dire afterwards?

Had mine yesterday (thank you NHS ) and by evening felt awful.. pounding head, fluey type body aches all over and this morning feel like I've been run over! I'm sure it will pass soon and thank heavens it's half term (I'm a Special School TA) so can feel ill in relative peace. Just wondered how common it was to react?

I had mine Friday I felt fine, Saturday evening my arm started feeling tender and sore and is still sore now, had a headache Sunday morning but was fine after a couple of hours. I slept well Saturday night which is unusual for me as I wake a lot in the night usually. Think the headache was probably related to the 7 hours solid sleep rather than the jab.

Had AZ, second day so tired, third day brain fog, fourth day palpitations. Had to call 111 as was tachycardic but it passed. Nerves feel bit shaky. Still (8 days) feels like tail end of cold.

I am 40, on low dose immunosuppressants.

My arm was sore the day of and the day after, but fine after that and absolutely no side effects. I haven’t had COVID.

Oh, and I had the AZ vaccine.

I am 40 so...still young..right ?
I felt a bit achey, took some ibroprofen and was able to go for a long walk the day after. I may have milked it a bit and conveniently fell asleep on the sofa instead of cooking a roast dinner.
I am in a similar job to you op and colleagues had various degrees of sicknesses and aches etc.
PHE have said there will be little or no side effects from the second dose which is reassuring.
Hope you feel better soon.

Early 70s relative, generally healthy, had it and was very unwell.
Late 70s relative with a heart condition and diabetes had it and was fine, no side effects at all.
Early 80s relative with a significant heart issue had it and again, felt fine and had no issues.
