Under if it's a thin jumper but over if it's chunky.

EverythingsComingUpRoses · 15/02/2021 11:32

What cabbage said

SnarkyBag · 15/02/2021 11:32

On a child either is fine. On an adult neither. The only thing that should go over adult dungarees is a bin bag.

mineofuselessinformation · 15/02/2021 11:34

I love dungarees! I just don't have the body to wear them anymore Confused
Definitely under, otherwise what's the point of wearing dungarees?
Also makes trips to the loo less fiddly.

ZackaryQuack · 15/02/2021 11:35

Depends if its the "main" top or if it's just an extra top.

Soubriquet · 15/02/2021 11:35

T-shirt under
Jumper over

ResIpsaLoquiturInterAlia · 15/02/2021 11:37

Under for all jumpers unless it is thick outerwear Scandinavian type or cardigan zip up sweater etc.

MsAwesomeDragon · 15/02/2021 11:39

Under. Otherwise you have to take your jumper off to go to the loo!!

Theotherrudolph · 15/02/2021 11:57

Over. But I don’t wear them and my children stopped wearing them when they came out of nappies (and thus we stopped just unpoppering the legs) so I guess it might be different if using a toilet. On a baby undoing the straps of the dungarees to take the jumper off if they were too hot was more the issue!

Lerio · 15/02/2021 12:13

T-shirt for under and hoodies/jumpers on top

kowari · 15/02/2021 12:14

Thin jumper under or open jacket over

dreamsofholidays · 15/02/2021 12:19

Thin, tight jumper under or cardi over. Doesn't look right with thick jumper over, and makes going to the loo even more tricky

gamerchick · 15/02/2021 12:24

Over if it's an extra top. Wouldn't it be a faff if you get hot and want to take it off?

icelollycraving · 15/02/2021 12:54

Under. Alternatively go naked like the hillbillies on moonshiners, a v odd programme dh watches.

BertieBotts · 15/02/2021 12:55

Over! Why on earth would you put it under?

BogRollBOGOF · 15/02/2021 12:56

So you don't have to strip when you go to the loo!

Under, unless there's a full zip.

BertieBotts · 15/02/2021 12:57

You put a t-shirt or long-sleeved top under. Jumper/sweater/cardigan over the top if you're still cold.

Maybe it's a miscommunication in what constitutes a jumper? DH seems to consider what I call a cardigan or hoodie (and sometimes jumper) a jacket. He thinks all long-sleeved tops are jumpers.

BertieBotts · 15/02/2021 12:58

Well dungarees are annoying to go to the loo in in general :o

toastfiend · 15/02/2021 12:59

Under, unless it's a cardigan or zip up top.

mootymoo · 15/02/2021 13:06

Under, but I would wear a cardigan personally (that that I would wear dungarees, they make me look pregnant and I'm most definitely not, just need to loose weight!

OublietteBravo · 15/02/2021 13:07

Under for a jumper.
Over for a cardigan.

MrsDThomas · 15/02/2021 13:16

Dungarees? Oh please don’t.

afaloren · 15/02/2021 13:22

Obviously under or you might as well just wear jeans!

00100001 · 15/02/2021 14:14

@gamerchick

But it's a faff if you want to go to the loo.

You'll be visiting the loo more often than getting hot/cold, surely??
