If you are 5’5 or 5’6 what size shoe are you?

Just that really. Always felt like I’m out of proportion so thought I’d see if I am abnormal or not..

5ft 6” and shoe size 5

5’6” and size 7.5/8 depending on style.

Adult dd is 5'5 1/2" and she's a size 3.5 - 4. Same size as her DGM.

Pre kids size 5, post kids size 6.

@tinylittleyou I am 5'5" and now a size 40 / is that a 7 ? before pregnancy I am pretty sure I had smaller feet. No one has stopped me in the road and laughed at the size of my feet so I reckon you are perfectly OK

I’m 5ft 6 and a small 5 (I’m occasionally a 4 but never a 6).

My Mum’s 5ft 2 and a large 6 (occasionally a 7 and never a 5).

5 ft 6 and I am an 8. I was a 7 before I had kids.

DD1 is 5ft 3 and already a size 6.

All the women on my mum’s side have freakishly long toes. I would be a size 4 I think without my toes. My daughter’s have inherited these freak toes.

5ft 6. I was a 7 but now I seem to be a 6.

5ft 6 and wear a 6.5-7

I'm just a peep under 5' 5 and I wear a size 5.

I’m 5’5 and a 7 or 8 depending on the shop/shoe, also often need the special ‘wide’ fit too 🙄I see I’m not completely alone but this thread is definitely confirming I’m supposed to be a 5 or a 6 😭 i always feel really self-conscious and like everyone is staring at how huge my feet look (even though they’re probably not)

I’m 63 and 5’4.5” with extra wide feet that have increased to size 8, used to be 7. My big feet have dominated my life, I’ve always hated them. I loved how high heeled or even better, wedge heels made my feet look smaller but these days I have to wear extra wide, flatter boots or shoes as I do a lot of walking.

If I had normal sized feet I’d have loads of beautiful shoes because I love shoes but have to always look at ones that don’t bring attention to my feet. I look at other women’s feet and feel jealous. They look so proportionately small and neat and it’s nothing they’ve done, it’s just genes. I wear bootleg jeans because they cover part of my shoes.

My daughter has feet that are size 7 but her feet are slim and beautifully shaped and look proportionate. I’m so pleased she didn’t inherit my clodhoppers

Just under 5’4 and a size 9. Something definitely went wrong there...

So how do you deal with that? Does it dictate what you wear - the type of jeans as well as shoes?

It's definitely something to do with genetics, plus I think the upcoming generations have bigger feet, to go with their increased height.

I am half Italian (generally seem to have smaller feet than UK), am 5'5" with 4.5 feet. My 2 DD's are slightly shorter than me with size 3.5 and 4. Within their friendship group they have TINY feet compared to the rest.

@AWryGiraffe - I wouldn't be too jealous, it's far easier to balance on larger feet especially if a little top heavy like me

I'm 5'5" and size 6.5-7, width dependent... used to be 5-6 but my feet went up half a size each pregnancy 🙄.

I also have ridiculously big (wide) hands!

Depending on style of shoe and make. I can wear size 5 sometimes. I have very narrow heels!
Size 6/ size 7. 6.5 is the holy grail of shoe sizes for me.

Oh I'm 5ft5.5

5 foot 5. Used to be a 3.5 and 4.5, but went up a good half a size after having DD. Also on the wide side. I’m older though (60) and I think shoe sizes have increased.
