Pancake day next week! What toppings are your favourite?

We have pancakes all year but like to do it differently on pancake day

I've recently purchased a pancake maker so that can be on the table with all the dishes of toppings in bowls.

Have ordered some pancake shaped moulds too for the kids

Toppings I have so far

Nutella
Syrup
Lemon
Sugar
Strawberry sauce
Choc sauce
Marshamallows.
Choc chips ( the 3 year olds request?)
Jam (the 3 Yr olds request too)

Unsure whether to get maple Syrup I'm the only one that eats that so likely to go to waste as its not too of my list.

Yes the kids are on a sugar high on pancake day but hey ho. Haha (ill prob regret that come Tuesday)

Nutella, strawberry and squirty cream. Though I am very fond of just golden syrup

Maple-butter sauce. Half maple syrup and half melted butter mixed together.

We eat it over American style, buttermilk pancakes with streaky bacon on the side.

I like one with mushrooms and creamy white wine sauce. Or egg, ham and cheese.

I'm traditional, I like either jam or lemon juice and sugar!
Kids sometimes have chocolate spread ones as well
Keep meaning to "go savoury" every year as well and not getting around to it lol

Gordon Ramsey's caramelised bananas with rum with cream on top. It probably has about a zillion calories but it is amazing.

Chopped up pear and stilton cheese or just as its cooked wrapping kinder bars up in it so they just start to melt!

It has always been DS’s dream to eat nothing but pancakes on pancake day, so I hope to make that dream come true this year, as usually school gets in the way - am gathering ideas for sweet and savoury from this thread!

Lemon and sugar is the best

But a close second is

Fried bananas with caramel sauce (Tesco finest salted caramel jar is good) and squirty cream (or Kelly's Cornish ice cream). Make sure bananas and pancakes are very hot before adding cream or ice cream.

White choc chips
Raspberries
Whipped cream or clotted cream

My favourite is crepes with lemon and sugar or fluffy American pancakes with maple syrup.

My favourite is one I first had in Holland which was cheese honey and walnuts. I can't remember which sort of cheese I had originally but have used whatever I have to hand.

I did chocolate spread and chopped up some cherries in one a few weeks ago and it was like a delicious Black Forest pancake - so I'll be doing that again next week!

Oh I couldn't wait so have already indulged!

Baxter's Passionfruit and mango curd actually and it tastes amazing. I first tried it at the Baxter's restaurant/factory in Fochabers. The staff recommended it to me as being delicious and they were correct it tastes amazing
