Today, I had to give a speech at work. New job. Hardly slept a wink, but managed it, phew.

What achievement big or small doesn't matter have you had today?

Let me applaud you Grin

I have my first ever proper job interview tomorrow (working at same company for 21 yrs) and I have done so much prep for it - feeling ready!

PeonyRose80 · 03/02/2021 20:42

finished all the prep today!

Imohsotired · 03/02/2021 20:52

I am on day 34 of dry january!

Mindymomo · 03/02/2021 20:56

Well apart from walking the dog for over an hour lunchtime, I’ve not done much at all. DH made me a boiled egg for breakfast, DS1 is on furlough Wednesdays so came for a walk and suggested a pizza delivery for dinner, which was nice. Then we’ve watched tv all day.

DH and I watched I Am Woman on Netflix, which I really enjoyed.

Well done everyone on what you’ve achieved.

I finished making a bespoke fitted dog bed for my dog's crate in the car. It has a removable cover, bolsters for two sides for him to rest his chin on, and made entirely out of one of my late mum's best guest towels. She would be proud.

One for DH - tumble drier in the garage has been playing up for ages - wet inside the drum, soggy lint everywhere, washing taking 2 hours to dry. I told him I was junking it today and getting a new one. He went to inspect it to see if it just needed a new thermostat - and found that over the last 4 years, the moisture in the vent pipe had slowly been accumulating, enough to weigh it down and kink the pipe in the space behind the machine where a big load of water sat blocking it by 75%. My tumble drier works beautifully again and it didn't cost me a bean. Hurrah.

I vaccinated 37 people against Covid 19.
I also had a nap Grin

What a lovely thread.

I found a mistake in a formula on Excel and fixed it!

shhsecretsquirrel · 03/02/2021 21:14

I got to the bottom of the laundry AND ironing basket 🧺

Camomila · 03/02/2021 21:22

DS1 (4), and I (and the baby in the pushchair) did a 2 mile walk up hill, took us just over an hour. DS1 was so proud of himself - we walked from our flat to the big Asda we go to in the car Grin

(DM, in our support bubble, drove us home again after doing her shopping).

hotpotlover · 03/02/2021 21:24

Did a 30 minutes
Youtube pilates class 😊👍

Gilead · 03/02/2021 21:25

Did a half water change on the fish tank. I was pleased and suspect the fish were too!

whatsnewpussycat777 · 03/02/2021 21:26

I took my mum to her first Covid vaccination 🙌
On the flip side I did bugger all work again (thanks homeschooling!) and I’ve a horrible deadline looming. Ah well, tomorrow is another day.

lachy · 03/02/2021 21:29

er... I ate a big bag of cheese balls to myself!

I also did a huge chunk of work on a report, folded up 2 loads of laundry, bathed DD and fannied about on the Internet.

Bit of a rubbish day productivity wise.

LucasLeesEyebrows · 03/02/2021 21:33

Meant to say that these are all really lovely 💕 Well done everyone

GrannieD · 03/02/2021 21:36

Finished a draft of an academic book chapter - my first ever! It may not be perfect (I honestly can't tell) but I was avoiding it so I'm pleased it's done!

Veuvestar · 03/02/2021 21:44

I had a uterine polyp removed

MistleTOEboughski · 03/02/2021 21:51

Well done everyone! I took my 2nd lateral flow test a bit easier this time. Had an icecream bar as a reward.

whatsnewpussycat777 · 03/02/2021 21:53

We're just getting over covid and I haven't cleaned the house properly in a fortnight. Today was the first day I felt able to tackle it and the place feels amazing. I even changed the beds and had a soak after the kids had settled. Feel human again.

LtGreggs · 03/02/2021 21:59

Stayed calm and polite at work. Demonstrated a bit of software we have developed to our client project team and it went fine - I was quite stressed about it beforehand but I gave myself time to set up all the scenarios to go through and the prep paid off.

Didn't get too stressed that I didn't get as far with my to-do list as I wanted. Reminded myself that I had work appropriately hard and done OK!

Went to my exercise class on Zoom - I love it in real life and don't on Zoom. But it did it, which is good for me.

Snapped at my bickering teenagers after tea - quite right too, they should know that behaviour is very annoying!

BigGreen · 03/02/2021 22:21

Took my son out for a lovely walk just the two of us, enjoyed a big doughnut together. Saw so many exciting and new things. I think it refreshed us both.
