Inspiration please!
Tomorrow will probably be a roast, but something interesting for this evening? 2 fussy children (I can adapt for them) and 2 adults.

Do build your own soft tacos - flour tortilla, grated cheese, mince with taco seasoning, guacamole, sour cream, salad leaves, nachos (tortilla chips heated in oven with some extra grated cheese), I also add black beans in spicy sauce because I have a veggie dd.

Last night was pork, apple and cheddar burgers with salad.

Tonight is Indonesian chicken salad - chicken in chilli and coconut with chopped salad veg in kecap manis, garlic and sesame

Tomorrow will be garlic chicken, cheesy mash and loads of green veg. Plus there's a vast pot of leek and potato soup to be eaten.

It does get better! Dc (late teens) actively love the food I cook now, compliment it and also make me nice food!
Tonight I am going to make a tofu Rogan or korma.

We’re having butternut squash risotto tonight with rocket salad and garlic bread (love a double carb).
Tomorrow’s lunch is lentil shepherd’s pie with swede mash on top.

Paella last night and creamy chicken and veg pasta bake tonight with garlic bread. I carb out at weekends Grin

Last night was steak, chips, kale and long stemmed broccoli with a kind of garlic foccacia that was made up so I’m not really sure what it was!
Tonight we’ve got seafood, scallops and pancetta, garlic prawns, squid and then some garlic mayonnaise (made that bit already, it’s in the fridge), all served with a big side salad and some crusty bread.
Tomorrow we are having venison saddle with dauphinois potatoes, roasted beetroot, heritage carrots (been kicking around in the fridge since last weekend!), probably some more kale and some other type of veg side dish.
I actually don’t cook any of it, dh does the cooking here, I just partake in the eating. Any the clearing up Grin

Is this the Persian food place? Modern Persian Kitchen

Home-made pesto with pasta (I add cherry tomatoes and olives when I mix the pesto in.

Thai curry (Thai taste paste) which you can make as strong/spicy as you like. My DD likes it because it's made with coconut milk. You can add whatever meat/veg you like. I use butternut squash or sweet potato for a veg option or otherwise king prawns.

DP is cooking tonight...crab cakes with lime and ginger, then rack of lamb, and a “deconstucted “ Black Forest gateaux for dessert....yum.

We had a takeaway curry yesterday , sausage and mash today and tomorrow will be a roast dinner with left over turkey (frozen from Christmas) for DH and nut roast for me .

All nice food but we don't tend to have food that's 'different' or 'inspirational' Grin
