Does anyone know of any brands similar to Oodie?

My dd wants one for her birthday next month

We can see this thread is a little old, but if you’ve landed here looking for current Oodie alternatives, including more budget-friendly options, we’ve recently updated our best blanket hoodie page with lots of great recommendations, as rated and loved by Mumsnet users. We hope it helps Flowers

I got one from Amazon called sienna. Was a recommendation from Xmas thread. It is the nicest, warmest thing I ever owned. But others who ordered got really thin ones closer to Christmas and returned them. 25 ish, worth every penny here.

We got the Sherpa versions from Amazon. They're really warm, good quality & wash very well.

The real Oodies are worlds away from the fake ones, I would get her a real one.

Otherwise the Lushforest or Sienna on Amazon are okay but once you've felt the real one you'll not be happy with the fakes.

Me too.

Oodies seem to have got such bad reviews on here in the run up to Christmas with huge delivery delays.

There is another thread about this that had an ebay link to the Sienna ones. Sold by onlinehomeshop. DD's came from that seller (on Amazon though) and it is lovely.

This one, from Online Home Shop. I'm very pleased with it and planning on buying a 2nd.

That's all well and good but there is a massive price discrepancy. Not everyone has £110 for one present. Mine cost me twenty odd and I'm very happy with it.

I've got a Kuddly which was cheaper and came quicker than an Oodie but an online comparison said it was at least as good.

I was very happy with it until I discovered I could get the Sienna for half what I'd paid and it would still be nice.

Ooh I just took delivery today of 4 Eskimo Hoodies from Savers. We only ordered them on Saturday and they are only £14.99 each. I bought one for DH for Xmas and everyone else wanted one but we had to wait as they have only just come back into stock.
They are not overly thick which I prefer but are very warm and reversible (there is a pocket on both sides). Also the sleeves aren’t too long which is something that has put me off other brands. I can still do stuff whilst wearing one.

Can I hijack this thread to ask anyone who has an oodie, have you tumble dried it, as instructions say you shouldn't. But I would never get it dried on the washing line at this time of year! Wondering whether to risk it otherwise it won't get washed until spring

Have a look at a new company called Cwtchie. Amazing quality, really thick and warm, free delivery and it arrived within a few days.

My DCs have the Kozy - it comes in a child's size and they are both a bit on the tiny size.

in this house we have a kuddly, an Oodie and a fake one off etsy or ebay (cant remember) and i got a primark one for my dds gf for xmas.

Id say the kuddly was thickest and warmest. The oodie was close second, but its a bit bigger and has better selection of designs. The knock off one from etsy is a bargain as its pretty good, but not as thick as the kuddly, but still perfectly fine and warm, and the primark one seems to be pretty good as well, but i dont think quite as thick as the kuddly or oodie.

We have a Comfy each. They were featured on Shark Tank (US version of Dragon's Den).

I got my children ones from Snuggz. They are really thick and excellent quality. Washed well and still really soft.

I got this one from Amazon for my DS for Christmas and it is incredibly thick and warm so I'd recommend it. My DH bought me one from somewhere else (I'm always cold) and it's thinner so I'm a bit jealous! Grin

Online Home Shop do a great one I got one months ago just before they became popular I wear it every day when at home saves having to turn the heating on so two birds killed with one stone.

I got one from Amazon, lushforest, it goes all the way to my feet and is so cozy, I love it, its my favourite item of clothing 😊
I get a lot of ribbing for it, I've been compared to an Ewok, a very small Hagrid and a wizard! Jealousy does that to people😂

We have primark ones and they’re absolutely brilliant. They are big enough to go over any outfit and just mean that we’ve been able to keep the hearing a few degrees lower than usual and stay warm and cosy. £15 each, what’s not to like! We have dressing gowns but it feels wrong to wear them during the day or when I’m doing stuff around the house.

I googled and matalan do a men’s one that could be worn oversized to get the look of the oodie.

We are an Oodie family. We have Oodies and equivalents and the actual oodies are by far the better quality. Yes they cost more but they are warmer and better made. I got 2 for £100 at Christmas. Both adult size.

DD (12) loves the Primark Snuddie that a relative got her for Christmas. Lovely and cosy, and big enough to wear over anything round the house, bedtime etc. It has really cute dogs all over it too!
