Why is your child mad at you today?

Mine is because I've given him crumpets for lunch instead of sweets 🙄

Anyone else got a child who is apparently mad at them today?

Because I won’t let 12yr old dd dye her beautiful wavy, golden strawberry blonde waist length hair black...

vampirethriller · 17/01/2021 13:02

She wanted cereal and I gave her cereal
The dog was looking at her
She isn't allowed to eat dog food
She tried to put her trousers on over her head and failed which is obviously my fault
I was singing
She couldn't find her biscuit (she had eaten it)

@blissfulllife

I'm always in trouble with my daughter. She's autistic, so very particular with her routine. Today I slept in by 15 minutes! How dare I lol

Not long ago she was furious with me for misgendering a swan.

Left a flannel in the bath, cooked onions without warning her, didn't fully concentrate on the you tube video she was showing me, had small talk with a neighbour, put the wrong sheets on her bed......it's exhausting lol

I feel that "MisgenderedSwan" would make an excellent username...

Because I won't find a dead body....I'm too afraid to ask why Confused

HearMeSnore · 17/01/2021 13:16

Mine isn't cross with me today but she had a right tantrum yesterday when she asked me to do painting with her and took offence because the flower I painted was apparently better than her toucan.

(It wasn't)

Sideorderofchips · 17/01/2021 13:21

@Frodont

My 21 year old is cross because there's "nothing for breakfast". We've run out of sliced bread and spreadable butter. There is cereal, eggs, bacon, avocado, pancake mix, maple syrup, waffle making stuff, sausages and tomatoes.

Hmm

Ah yes I hear this one frequently that there is nothing to eat...

My 8yo is incensed because I told the dog he was a stupid lump, she reckons he's actually very clever he just hides it well 🤨 6yo is cross because the apple I cut up for his lunch went 'rusty' while he was messing about and not doing as he was asked. Dh is mad because he stayed up too late last night and has to get up for work tonight at midnight.

Dog and I are going for a walk. Maybe they'll all be asleep when I get back 🤣

Pinkywoo · 17/01/2021 13:30

My one year old was very cross with me yesterday because I washed my hair while he napped. When it's wet he pokes it with a look of disgust and apparently waking up to wet hair really pissed him off!

jmh740 · 17/01/2021 13:34

Dd 13 is mad because I made a chilli which she said she would do and then stopped off, so anyway I started it I used chopped frozen onions instead of a 'normal' onion from the fridge so now its going to taste awful! Oh and I did dare to ask if she could please empty the clean clothes out of the basket I took upstairs last weekend so I could use it for some dirty washing!

Ds is angry with me cos I made him a plate of cheese sandwich some pringles and some homemade cake, he didn't want anything apparently, but he's managed to suffer through the pringles and cake.

The cat is angry cos I put flea drops on her yesterday, she is usually a big lap cat and sleeps on our bed, last night she slept balanced on the edge of the radiator and is now sat in the middle of the living room rug glaring at me.

Oh got up and went for a 7 mile walk this morning has just come in and gone straight for a shower hopefully he doesn't have any problems today but not really spoken to him yet.

itchyfinger · 17/01/2021 13:37

5 yo dd had a mega meltdown yesterday because the seam on the toe of her tights wasnt straight.

Amrythings · 17/01/2021 13:42

Just had an absolute raging tantrum because I told him he needed to put his head down and nap. And now he's out cold, still scowling!

Apparently we're doing the terrible twos at one and a half.

Ducksarenotmyfriends · 17/01/2021 13:44

Because I'm daring to go out for a walk by myself. Being left alone with daddy for half an hour is the height of cruelty, apparently. Also because I won't wear a tea towel as a 'wig'.

Lastfreakinglegs · 17/01/2021 13:44

I took his phone off him after several hrs or use. He is 5. He thumped me in the kidney. Bloody hurt. I cried.

SimonJT · 17/01/2021 13:47

We recently bought a campervan, a small transit one.

I won’t let my five year old live in it, as in live in it full time.

BumbleBiscuit · 17/01/2021 13:51

Reading this I’m so glad my only children are dogs! 🤣

LaceyBetty · 17/01/2021 13:56

I won't let my DD (9) go out for our walk in a cropped top and leggings.

Sideorderofchips · 17/01/2021 13:59

Now the youngest is annoyed because I won't paint his bed to look like a police car

OP posts:
Casade · 17/01/2021 14:02

My ds9 was annoyed because I interrupted him playing with his friend to give him lunch. His latest line is “when I am older I am definitely not having kids” 😂

TeaMilkNonePlease · 17/01/2021 14:05

Tween Tea is in a bit of a strop because I am making her do school work she should have done in home schooling but is behind because she is easily distracted. So instead she sits at the dining table and we are in total silence trying not to distract her so she can work. Send help. 🤣

EmilyInParis · 17/01/2021 14:08

Because we made him walk the dog with us.

Apparently it's now bruised the soles of his feet and he will need to sleep for 276 hours to get over the fact and most definitely will not be able to walk again in the foreseeable future.

We also haven't fixed his tilting bed apparently and he cannot sleep in his own again for the next 4 years.

Oh, we just generally breathe too much for his liking.

BumbleBiscuit · 17/01/2021 14:08

@Casade My ds9 was annoyed because I interrupted him playing with his friend to give him lunch. His latest line is “when I am older I am definitely not having kids

Smart kid!!

SendHelp30 · 17/01/2021 14:09

I asked her to put her empty crisps packet in the bin.

bugaboo218 · 17/01/2021 14:24

Because I wouldn't let DD age 3 use her poster paints to paint the dog and make him colourful.

DD 14 because asked her to make her own sandwich for lunch today and it is unfair because she is exhausted getting up at 09.00!

MessAllOver · 17/01/2021 14:31

Because I didn't let him run in front of the swings at the playground and get kicked in the head.

GreenSlide · 17/01/2021 14:42

3 year old is actually not mad with me today because I let him eat Jaffa cakes for breakfast and sit in the nude until after lunchtime.
