Justin finch fletchly and Ernie McMillan are 2 Hufflepuffs that spring to mind. They weren't very kind. It just seems to me it's the house where you go when you don't fit into any other house.

I think that's unfair. They are accepting is how I'd phrase it.

The problem is that we don't have any major players in hufflepuff or ravenclaw so they are harder to understand. I'd also say that you might not tick every box. Eg you can be hardworking but not kind. You can be ambitious but not evil. Etc

I don't think Boris Johnson is loyal (he's abandoned wives and kids). I think he needs Cummings for whatever reason. He's all ego. And he's deliberately using populism to get and stay in power. Highly manipulative and would sell his own granny for twopence. Slytherin through and through.

We don't know what house Cornelius Fudge was in, but he was fairly analogous to most of our current lot. So while initially I was inclined to agree that they'd all be squibs, I don't think being incompetent is incompatible with magical ability.

Oh, and Crabbe and Goyle are not intelligent or cunning but still in Slytherin.

Yeah - Cummings definitely fits the mould. Doing his evil work quietly in the background, pulling the strings of those ostensibly in charge. He even looks quite like him!
