As much as I love truffles, I don't have any suitable chocolate and I'm not going to the shop just for chocolate with the kids in tow. What can I do with it?

Butter. You get a lovely slab of butter and also buttermilk which you can use in a soup or sauce.

praepondero · 05/01/2021 13:41

Lemon posset. Google is thick with recipes, James Martin does a marvellous one.

You have to share the truffles with us OP for wasting our time - pleasant thread though it was!

Cheesy potatoes

Potatoes, cheese, cream

You’ll never look back

amusedbush · 06/01/2021 14:01

I see that you’re going for truffles but if you have a tin of condensed milk, you can make coffee creamer.

The fact that creamer isn’t a thing in the UK is a source of great disappointment for me so I make my own. I’ve perfected a pumpkin spice coffee recipe Grin

SunshineOutdoors · 06/01/2021 14:03

Add beef oxo cubes, Dijon mustard, white wine, ground peppercorns, whole peppercorns, a bit of warm water and cook on the hob for a peppercorn sauce to have with steak.

Stompythedinosaur · 06/01/2021 14:06

Make pavlova or Eton mess.
