Where are you hoping to go on holiday?

We hope to go in a caravan

We’ve got North Norfolk booked in July, it’s a friend’s place, so if things change it’s no biggie to cancel.

Haven’t been abroad for about 3 years; will leave that for a while though.

Brunt0n · 03/01/2021 09:22

We’ve got European holidays booked for May and August. Will also book to go to my parents house in Spain in July. Not 100% sure on whether May will be too tight but hopeful for July and August 🤞🏻

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 03/01/2021 09:24

Bulgaria.

bluechameleon · 03/01/2021 09:59

We have Center Parcs booked for the Easter holidays (rearranged from last year) which is looking unlikely. We also have a ferry and campsite booking for France for August, again rearranged from last year. Hoping that might be possible but we will see. Really hoping everything will be OK for us to visit family in the USA in 2022.

I had hoped to spend last year’s redundancy money on a whale watching and road trip to Monterey, Yosemite etc.

But I will need to live off that money now so am considering picking new areas to me for the C4 Top 100 Walks, and taking my tent.

Supposed to go to Iceland next month- clearly that's not happening.

I'm leaning towards Caribbean later in the year if we think we can actually go. Lots of places are letting you do 5 days of self isolation in a villa which I think I could manage.

Dowser · 03/01/2021 13:49

Canaries in March
Should have been there for 2 weeks before Christmas but the blooming lab lost my covid test result

So will try again for march

Twospaniels · 03/01/2021 13:54

Some UK destinations in our caravan. First one is booked for April so fingers crossed.
Would love to take the caravan to France and Spain for 8-10 wks, but will maybe need to do that in 2022.
Also hope for a villa hol in Lanzarote, and a cottage hol in Norfolk with friends

@littlealexhorne

My dream holiday is America, maybe Orlando for my first trip but there's lots of places there I'd love to visit.
Orlando is such a fab holiday. I owned a villa for 9 years there , so got to go about 4 times a year. I’m so pleased we did, as we never saw this coming did we? I still have friends on orlandovillas and contributed to many of the articles on there of where to go whilst visiting.

Sadly , I can’t see me ever getting back.
My dh doesn’t want to do long haul since his stroke 5 years ago.
I haven’t been for 10 years now, but still have vivid memories of beautiful lake Toho at sunset. The fabulous birds, the last air boat coming in for the night, the alligators left to get on with life when the tourists had gone.

So peaceful.
Can’t imagine what it’s like to get into the country now or even if the planes are flying.
Hope you get there soon
It really is magic
And I’m not talking about Disney either.

Dowser · 03/01/2021 14:02

I’m very fortunate we have a static in N Yorks so got plenty of mini breaks once we were allowed to go back again.
Can’t wait
We are used to being on the move a lot while we still can

chipsandpeas · 03/01/2021 14:06

canada and the US rescheduled from 2020 - nothings getting booked until nearer the time that i wont get a refund on

Flowersblue · 03/01/2021 20:45

Wow lots of lovely places. Hope this year we can get to do some of the things.

Hilariously we have a Spanish island holiday booked for Easter (a cancellation from 2020) I can’t imagine we will get there somehow. I really hope we get to in-laws in north of England but will be very pleased if we get a camping trip in the next local authority area over!

Milomonster · 03/01/2021 21:39

Japan and North Pakistan hopefully. Haven’t rebooked after cancelling in 2020.

LadyCatStark · 03/01/2021 21:57

We have Turkey booked in October half term which was moved from last October half term but I’m not convinced even that’ll go ahead as things are 🙈.

Mydogisagentleman · 04/01/2021 08:52

We are lucky enough to live 15 minutes drive from the Norfolk coast.
We are hoping to retire in Spain in about 4 years, so were planning on flying out to narrow down the area.
We are optimistic that we may be able to fly out around July/August

Waxonwaxoff0 · 04/01/2021 09:00

We are due to go to Butlins at Easter and Portugal in July. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we can go.

bellagogosdead · 04/01/2021 09:03

We will visit a UK city, not sure which yet, just love exploring somewhere new. Hopefully May?

CompleteBarstool · 04/01/2021 09:04

As much as I'd love to go abroad (maybe to the place we had to cancel last July), I think realistically speaking we'll be lucky if we manage to visit family in Devon.

TransplantedScouser · 04/01/2021 09:08

Lanzarote in November. Have a place out there. So long as get there might choose to stay for the winter.

sweetchristmastime · 04/01/2021 09:11

Nowhere this year, but America next year hopefully. I would imagine there will be restrictions and masks for the rest of this year so no point attempting a holiday in those circumstances

Juanbablo · 04/01/2021 09:14

I want to go to Florida in October. And would like to go to the Isle of Wight in the summer holidays. I can't actually imagine being able to travel again though. Will it happen this year?

AlwaysLatte · 04/01/2021 09:16

Hoping to get over to our holiday house but it's a long haul flight and I'm not sure that it can happen this year again 😢

ChasingRainbows19 · 04/01/2021 09:19

We would like a European city break. But will probably do our usual lakes trip and somewhere else in the U.K. Nothing booked as unsure what will happen tbh. The countries I want to travel to will still be there once this is a bit more under control ( I hope!)

ServeTheServants · 04/01/2021 09:22

We’ve booked the Isle of Wight for July, so I’m really hoping that is possible.

If possible, we’ll look to go to Florida in October, but time will tell....
