No-where, managing my expectations I think, diary just a big blank space. All too weird

SunscreenCentral · 03/01/2021 00:04

France, late summer, fingers crossed.... I’m choosing to be hopeful as it just keeps me going through Jan/Feb, I’ll manage my expectations as we go along

We've got a lodge in Suffolk booked for July, I had booked for last year originally. I'm not overly optimistic.

MrsDoctorDear · 03/01/2021 04:07

@gettingolderbutcooler

Booked Corfu for half term at end of May. I couldn't help myself...😢...I had to have something to look forward to! Too many episodes of the fucking Durrells.
I've been googling Corfu like mad since started watching The Durrell's last monthGrin

Gower peninsula camping. We thought we were being modest choosing that destination last year to save money, but then with Covid we couldn't go (we did go to North Wales instead) and now that is just my dream holiday for this year, and I'm normally all about more exciting fantasy holidays.

ZZTopGuitarSolo · 03/01/2021 04:27

I desperately want to visit family in England and Scotland but I’m waiting till it’s safer.

Also not sure I’d be able to get Covid test and results within 3 days of flying so could get stuck in the UK.

ZZTopGuitarSolo · 03/01/2021 04:30

For those hoping to visit the US I don’t foresee Biden being in a hurry to welcome tourists back this summer. That was one of Trump’s sensible decisions I think.

bartymao · 03/01/2021 04:34

Anywhere not involving a tent !

Bloodybridget · 03/01/2021 04:40

We have a house in the Highlands booked for a week in July, postponed from last year, I hope we can do it but not holding my breath - it's with other family members.

nosswith · 03/01/2021 08:45

South of France, have not been for four years and miss it.

Enb76 · 03/01/2021 08:47

The only holiday I spend any money on is skiing and that won’t be happening this year. So, I would quite like to do a walking holiday somewhere in the UK.

Chel098 · 03/01/2021 08:51

Turkey in May

dingoesatemybaby · 03/01/2021 08:53

We have Majorca booked in June.

Typical all inclusive family hotel deal given we have 3 young DC!

It was originally booked in June 2020 but put it back a year. Keeping my fingers crossed it won't need to be delayed again!

EternalOptimist7 · 03/01/2021 08:58

We can’t afford to go abroad this year & have no plans for a UK holiday at the moment. I would love to go to the Yorkshire Dales.

Shoxfordian · 03/01/2021 09:02

Would love to be able to go wine tasting in France for my Dad’s birthday, meant to go last year but couldn’t obviously. Would also like a trip to Seville in December, doesn’t seem impossible

garlictwist · 03/01/2021 09:03

We've got a cottage booked in Syke for March - originally booked for November but the guy wouldn't refund us so we moved it. I am hoping we can still go as if not we will lose the money.

If I can't get a refund I won't be able to afford to go anywhere elese.

Normandy144 · 03/01/2021 09:03

Just booked France for July and keeping my fingers crossed. Need something to look forward to!

garlictwist · 03/01/2021 09:04

Skye, not Syke!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 03/01/2021 09:05

Isle of wight in July

SpeckledyHen · 03/01/2021 09:06

Iceland , been on my bucket list for so long .
Long touring trip to New Zealand via Oz .

QuentinInQuarantino · 03/01/2021 09:08

I have had Disneyland booked for years, now postponed to September..

I really want to go to Lapland but the prices and availability are shocking, probably because of all the people moved from this year, so maybe 2022..

We had to cancel a city break Luxembourg so I'd like to do that. And see friends in Amsterdam

And I'd love to ski the Sierra Nevada at Easter and see the Alhambra!

DazedandConcerned · 03/01/2021 09:18

Egypt is booked for May and July. Need sun and relaxation after this year.

user1487194234 · 03/01/2021 09:20

UK only for 2021

onlyhereforthefood · 03/01/2021 09:20

We're currently doing IVF and saving for our September wedding so if we manage a couple of UK camping trips we'll be delighted!
