Do other people’s phones suggest they have sex with their neighbours

My phone keeps suggesting my next door neighbours house as a location for sex? Why? I am perfectly happy with my chosen venue of my own bedroom. Do other people’s phones do this?

I would think after 8, you don’t need iCal reminders for ttc.

Fandaddydoozie · 02/01/2021 22:57

Tell the truth, you pack your poor kids off to Sunday School every week, don't you, whilst your husband puts the joint in the oven (so to speak).

AldiAisleofCrap · 02/01/2021 23:00

@Hotelhelp This whole post was only written so you could let us all know you have that in your calendar. well yes my whole post was written to see if other people’s iPhones suggested locations. And I found it mildly amusing/odd it was suggestion next door as a location. Especially as nothing else in my calendar suggests a location.
What am I supposed to be trying harder at exactly my understanding of GPS technology?

How do you have time to have sex in the daytime with 8 children?

AldiAisleofCrap · 02/01/2021 23:10

12pm isn’t the time we have sex , although maybe that’s why my phone is suggesting next door! It is a reminder just for the day.as we are using the SMEP . I like to remember early on in the day as with a large family there are days when I am just too tired. I organise those days more smoothly so the kids are in bed on time etc.
@ivfbeenbusy you would think, but I am older now so no.

Iphones automatically suggest locations for appointments which are shared because you are meeting someone. Presumably you shared the appointment with your DH (or accidentally made it public to your Apple contacts, it's easy done) and it is just copying the settings and selecting the location using GPS.

If you delete your previous sex appointments and then make a new one it should stop. Failing that move an existing (private to that calendar only) appointment and rename it sex, that will fix it.

DrFoxtrot · 03/01/2021 01:07

Blimey, I hope it hasn't been shared with your contactsBlush

I've never come across that, it's hilarious! I wonder if your neighbour has similar messages suggesting yours.

midnightstar66 · 03/01/2021 07:17

GPS almost always puts me next door, I have to manually change it on things like taxi and delivery apps. The worst one though is Deliveroo which pins me in the totally wrong street and the drivers obviously never read the note. I have to watch on the tracking map as my Nando's goes cold while they cycle about lanes trying to locate my house number.

screamingchild · 03/01/2021 08:37

I love this post. You sound well organised, especially with 8 kids. What's your bedtime routine and how could it possibly go 'smoothly' with so many? Need some tips!

Livandme · 03/01/2021 08:44

@ivfbeenbusy

You'd think after 8 kids you'd have the whole TTC thing nailed and no reminder would be necessary?

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 03/01/2021 10:49

Maybe I'm just an old prude, but while I can imagine setting a reminder if you're TTC, surely you'd call it something less easily understood by anyone who happens to see your phone screen?

Me too - Maybe something like 'discuss the parish meeting minutes with Mr Perkin Snr and agree on appropriate action plan'. Mind you, if somebody did see your phone screen and notice that you had that same recurring appointment three times every week, they'd be horrified at your indiscretions and would never be able to look randy old Mr Perkin in the eye again; so, on balance, it's probably a lot less embarrassing if they realise that you're frequently at it with your own husband Grin

I too am in awe of you not just managing to keep 8 children occupied and under control already but actually being organised enough to be able to slot in regular private time to make the 9th!

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 03/01/2021 10:52

Whenever I use postcodes on the AA route-planner website, it always tells us that we have to set off from the house next door. It really annoys the man who lives there, particularly when we're making an early start to miss the traffic.

Why would it annoy the man next door? Surely you just set off from your own house? Am I missing something?
MistletoeandGin · 03/01/2021 10:54

Or have I missed a joke? Which is perfectly likely Grin

Just a silly joke - we don't really let ourselves into his house for our breakfast and last-minute pre-journey stressing in order to fully Obey The Map!

I think it was I who missed a joke, in my failed attempt to make a slightly humorous one Grin

I did not intend to share! It’s not on dh’s calendar thank you I will delete and check this.
I am not concerned by dc will read my phone but I would be mortified if it’s shared somewhere.

The problem is you read so much bizarre stuff on here that it’s hard to tell Grin

My Google calendar normally suggests I teach my classes at "work" which is very helpful. It also tells me how long it will take me to drive there, which is normally wrong as I am already there.
