I know, I know, new years resolutions are passe/juvenile and they go against all the mn rules but I'm pretty sure everyone makes some mentally, whether they admit it or not. Mine are-

-Eat healthier/exercise more/lose weight
-Cut down on spending and start saving seriously

Boring as fuck aren't I Blush Hit me with your wild and wacky ones so that I can steal them please Grin

Ah bloodywhitecat I'm so sorry about your Dh, I hope that all your days together are full of happiness 💐

To eat " proper meals" instead of just a sandwich or cereal for dinner followed by chocolate! I live alone and it feels a waste of energy( and literal electric energy) just for myself

PoppiesinOctober · 01/01/2021 22:03

Drink more water

Read more books

Set up my Etsy shop

Get to a decent therapist

Dowser · 01/01/2021 22:06

1 to live life as normally as possible
2 to get out and about and travel as much as possible
These are interchangeable

hopeishere · 01/01/2021 22:12

To crochet my blanket - bought the wool - pattern from attic 24 - it will take ages but will hopefully keep me off my phone and my fingers out of the biscuit tin. More importantly I just want to do something creative.

Dontaskmegoogleit · 01/01/2021 23:44

Keep on with the "just do it " philosophy....you know when you say , I need to do blah blah blah and you keep procrastinating, just do it.
Even if its mopping the floor.

Hollybutnoivy · 02/01/2021 07:57

AliceBlueGown - that reminds m, I want to finish the patchwork quilt I started 6 years ago. Blush

I am having A Year of Progress. So, not so much specific resolutions, but movement towards my goal - a little house in a particular village by the sea.

So, less stuff (cottage is small), better finances, that kind of thing.

I am keeping a short daily record in the Notes section of my phone with my little achievements.

No-one else knows.

To be honest, mine are about continuing the good things I’ve done this year.

I started my own career coaching business this year. I’m going to carry on growing my regular client roster and develop some courses that I can sell online. I really love coaching so basically I just want to do more of what I love - this year has taught me that life is too short to always be doing stuff you hate.

I’m also going to finish my novel (I’m midway through the second draft at the moment) because it’s been sat in my head for years. It’ll be really nice to have it done!

And finally I’m going to carry on with fixing up my fixer-upper house. Last year I had the kitchen, windows, doors and boiler replaced. This year it’s ripping out the bathroom and redecorating and reflooring the whole place. Then i can get on with adding the porch, converting the cupboard under the stairs to a downstairs loo, and starting work on the garden!

Lose 5kg
Move more
Delegate more at work

lucysmam · 02/01/2021 10:14

Mine is to use up what I already have before buying more. I have enough notebooks, pens, lotions and potions, body sprays and perfumes to last me the whole of 2021 I think.

BearSoFair · 02/01/2021 10:19

To put my wishes first sometimes. I've always been a people pleaser but have realised that in the last couple of years especially I've been so concerned with others' happiness that I haven't focused on my own.

Peanutbutterblood · 02/01/2021 10:20

Mine are to run a 10km every month

And reduce waste. I've found that's quite vague, the last two years I've done "recycle more" and while I try I've found I need something more specific so I'm going with "reducing waste by not using any disposable sanitary products by the end of the year"

I've bought a moon cup and gave it a little try, that's the first step

ChampagneCommunist · 02/01/2021 12:20

Definitely adding "using stuff up" to mine; it's a good way of expanding my "have less stuff" aim.

Another Duolingo user here too; lovely to see other users
