I haven't and my DP thinks I am the only person who hasn't - I beg to differ...!

I saw it in the theatre as an adult with my parents. The slapstick parts are very well done.

Oblomov20 · 21/12/2020 06:12

I think it's a good film. As we most of the others mentioned.

Ds2 mentioned it yesterday. We agreed to watch it this week.

Djouce · 21/12/2020 07:37

I wouldn’t call it ‘slapstick’ so much as ‘breathtakingly violent’.

SantasBritchesSpelleas · 21/12/2020 07:48

No, never seen it. It just doesn't sound very interesting.

I saw ET as a child at the cinema and thought it was marvellous. I had the Panini sticker book, the lunchbox, the little plastic posable ET. Watched it years later as an adult and couldn't understand what I'd seen in it back in 1983 or whenever it was. Switched it off halfway through because I was bored.

lollipoprainbow · 21/12/2020 08:06

Nope !!

Lightningrain · 21/12/2020 08:16

I absolutely loved it as a child and every time I see it now I have happy memories of watching it with family each Christmas.
I’d definitely recommend anyone whose kids are asking to watch it let them see it.

Same applies with ET which I can still watch and enjoy every time it’s on TV.

nosswith · 21/12/2020 08:43

You are not alone, I have not watched it.

Never seen Star Wars, ET, all of the Indiana Jones films. In case you are wondering, I have seen about 80 films either online, on tv or at the cinema at some time this year. I just have different choices of film from most people.

LuluJakey1 · 21/12/2020 08:46

No, never seen it, nor any Star Wars film, or any James Bond film.

redeyetonowheregood · 21/12/2020 09:32

I saw it decades ago when it first came out when I was a teenager. I took my children to see it at the cinema this weekend and found myself laughing and giggling in parts along with them (8,10). Just what I needed right now. It is just silly light relief.

user127819 · 21/12/2020 16:35

I've never watched it and probably won't. One of my recurring fears is someone in the house when I'm home alone so I don't think the film would do me any good!

Laiste · 21/12/2020 18:11

Nope, no intentions to either.

I have also not seen The Sound Of Music or It's A Wonderful Life.

I DID watch Love Actually for the first time last year - and loved it Grin

CorianderQueen · 21/12/2020 22:46

Me, I've never been a slapstick fan

Wincarnis · 21/12/2020 22:53

Haven’t seen it and don’t want to, just not my sort of thing.
Same goes for ET & Harry Potter
