That someone disagreeing with you on the internet is the same as trolling

That someone disagreeing with you, either on the internet or in general, is the same as gaslighting.

@DioneTheDiabolist

That "terrorists" are evil.
Terrorists who target innocent civilians including children are evil. They are not killing these people by accident.

Plenty of people have campaigned for political change without thinking that killing children is the best way forward. The opinion that they are evil is because of their methods not because of their ‘cause’. They are not ‘fighting’ they are just murdering.

safariboot · 11/12/2020 04:36

That Jaffa Cakes are biscuits.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 11/12/2020 04:46

That the covid vaccines haven’t been tested.

ichundich · 11/12/2020 04:53

That you put on sun cream because it's hot and not because of high UV.

GeorgiaGirl52 · 11/12/2020 05:05

That film stars and YouTube influencers know more about:
health, medicine, education, mental health, child birth, economics, politics, etc. than any doctor, professional educator, economist, etc.

That Ed Sheehan is talented.

That if your employer treats you badly that it's Constructive Dismissal. Nope it may seem to be, but 99.999999% of the time it really isn't.

MindThatTree · 11/12/2020 05:20

That too many kids are labelled these days and it does them no good.

MeowMeowLikeACow · 11/12/2020 05:23

That using the word "remoaner" to insult someone makes you look witty and clever. Grin

That your tongue has different areas where it tastes different flavours like salt and sweet.

This!!!

Also that tanning and burning aren’t the same thing. They are! You’ve just gone a different colour!

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 11/12/2020 05:29

Well, one causes pain and the other doesn’t. That’s quite a difference even if the process is the same.

JanieBP · 11/12/2020 05:34

That the NHS is free.

QueefBee · 11/12/2020 05:37

That men are 'more visual'. Bahahahaha.
That beauty or elegance = tall and skinny

QueefBee · 11/12/2020 05:40

That seeing a mystery substance injected into someones (celebs?) vein on tv means covid vaccine is fine and should persuade skeptics. That injection could be vitamins.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 11/12/2020 05:41

@TheCountessofFitzdotterel

Well, one causes pain and the other doesn’t. That’s quite a difference even if the process is the same.
And the risk of skin cancer, etc. is the same. Probably more for people who tan because they put sun cream on less often.
WomenAndVulvas · 11/12/2020 05:57

Also that tanning and burning aren’t the same thing.
No they are not. Sun burn is an acute injury of the skin with extensive inflammation and cell death, hence the pain and peeling skin, or even blistering. Tanning is a natural response to UV exposure which includes damage of skin cells, but on a much, much smaller scale. You really can't say they're the same.

Mummyoflittledragon · 11/12/2020 05:58

@Pyewhacket

The irony of a remoaner complaining of whining is clearly lost on you.
Brexshit brains. I’m just enjoying my dual nationality....
Graphista · 11/12/2020 06:06

@hopingforonlychild also corruption - many MPs are landlords and property developers, these MPs vote against changes that would enable improved housing and more housing for many with alarming consistency and regularity - shouldn't be allowed to have vested interests in housing while an Mp!

Mine:

Common law marriage exists under Uk law and common law spouses have rights inc claims to property not in their name

@Sobeyondthehills - can I add to yours?

That discrimination and stigma against the mentally ill either is less than it used to be (when?) or doesn't exist!

That the Tory party are competent stewards of the economy. yes! Widely and thoroughly disproven years ago, still believed by far too many!

That an employer can't end your employment due to ill health yep!

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 11/12/2020 06:11

@QueefBee

That seeing a mystery substance injected into someones (celebs?) vein on tv means covid vaccine is fine and should persuade skeptics. That injection could be vitamins.
While you’re not wrong that this wouldn’t prove anything, the suggestion this is likely to happen is bonkers. It would be easier to find a celebrity who wants to have the actual vaccine than one who is prepared to fake it.
QueefBee · 11/12/2020 06:14

Yes they could find a celeb genuinely believing its the vaccine. It still doesn't prove that the substance is the vaccine at all or the vaccine that everyone else will receive.

MrsMomoa · 11/12/2020 06:15

That all leave voters are knuckle-dragging, racist idiots who voted for a lie.

AlizarinRed · 11/12/2020 06:17

.....that if you constantly tell people they are being racist / misogynist/ disablist / selfish (babyboomers) / snowflakes / greedy etc - that it will make them change their ways - NO (this is for the MPs, MSPs, wokeist wokesters) it doesn't make them love all races, give of their time to the poor, hand all their money to charity - instead it pisses them off and probably makes things worse.
Changing society's long held biased beliefs takes time. (this is for the MPs, MSPs, wokeist wokesters) and is a gradual and steady process. Don't wind people up by lecturing and trying to force change.

SimonJT · 11/12/2020 06:21

People with a mental illness are weak and need to ‘get over it’ and are somehow unworthy as people.

Bumpitybumper · 11/12/2020 06:32

That the 'value' of people and their work is aligned to how much money they earn.
