How much Branston Pickle is too much Branston Pickle?

The Christmas advert where the mum sends the daughter it for her Christmas present? Does anyone think she puts far too much on it? Literally two tablespoons on her sandwich its not right, is it? I love abit of Branston but its very strong I think a teaspoon full is the norm isnt it? God knows where that poor lass has moved to that she cant buy her own pickle.

Any is too much. Not seen the ad.

OwlBasket · 09/12/2020 17:33

I’ve moved somewhere where I can’t ge my own pickle. No fucker ever sends me any either (too heavy to be worth the postage). If I ever get my hands on it I have loads 🤦‍♀️

Sumptuosity · 09/12/2020 17:33

There is no such thing as too much pickle.

I concur

Even worse is home made pickle esp chutney. Vile stuff.

Keepithidden · 09/12/2020 18:42

It depends on the amount of bread and cheese, a full on scooby snack would need loads!

MrsGrindah · 09/12/2020 18:44

It is impossible to have too much Branston pickle...pass me the spoon

ApolloandDaphne · 09/12/2020 18:45

A teaspoon?? That is just a whisper of pickle. You deffo need at least a tablespoon, two would be better.

StealthPolarBear · 09/12/2020 18:47

A single molecule

ExpensivelyDecorated · 09/12/2020 18:47

You only put a tsp on a whole sandwich? That is definitely not enough. The time when I won a 5kg catering pack in a raffle, that was too much.

WitchesSpelleas · 09/12/2020 18:48

The right amount not to make the sandwich soggy - so very much depends on the sandwich filling.

EachandEveryone · 09/12/2020 18:49

😂

Yes i hardly put any on. I dont want to dull the taste of the cheese.

Grin Not a fan then!
WorriedNotWorried · 09/12/2020 18:50

Since I’ve discovered the smooth version there is no such thing as too much!

IDontMindMarmite · 09/12/2020 18:50

The limit does not exist.

WitchesSpelleas · 09/12/2020 18:51

Oh, yes, Worried - smooth is brilliant.

changingnamesandkeepingsane · 09/12/2020 18:51

Yes, I've seen the ad and think she puts on too much. It's surely an enhancement to a sandwich, not the bloody filling.

BlackeyedSusan · 09/12/2020 18:57

Of course it is the filling!

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 09/12/2020 19:09

I think she puts too much on, and I like it.

I sometimes put it under the cheese for cheese on toast, or mix it with grated cheddar in an omelette.

lockupyourcinammon · 09/12/2020 19:36

No such thing. I could eat it with a spoon

EachandEveryone · 09/12/2020 20:25

Whats smooth?

OP posts:
ApolloandDaphne · 09/12/2020 20:29

Smooth sounds horrible. Surely you need the chunky crunch?

DuckonaBike · 09/12/2020 20:35

Branson pickle is unnatural and wrong and you people are perverts.

RumJerrySailorRum · 09/12/2020 21:05

In a sandwich,(cheese, obvs) I like the small chunk stuff, and a full coating of the stuff.

With a Ploughmans, it needs to be the proper stuff and I like a full ramekin at the very least.

Not heard About the smooth stuff, tell me more!!

QueenPaws · 09/12/2020 21:08

No such thing as too much. But then I eat marmite spread like it's jam Grin
