Dishwasher fucked and skint so it's hand washing which is no issue for me but the dc teen and pre teen have done nothing but moan about it which really posses me off

Got a dd doing two weeks of solid mocks now so the underlying tension in the air is thick as she's stressing but being quite rude and dh isn't good with that so I'm piggy in the middle for two weeks

Dd 10 is hormonal and stroppy and not enjoying school or friend group callings out so that's fun

And adult ds is having a hard time right now which is playing on my mind a lot.

Hating my job and the shit pay and as grateful as I am for six months of furlough this year we are so down financially our emergency reserves pot has diminished and I've got about £20 to last me two friggin weeks

I missed out on a decent pay rise thanks to Covid aswel and it's making me bitter.

Dh was in a shit mood all weekend due to work issues and I haven't put any Xmas decs up yet as not feeling it at all.

Came on here to moan about my bad day but reading so much of this made me realise it wasn't that bad! Hope you all have better days today 💐

@Xiaoxiong yes Swas is close to her actual name. Other people in her office with the same name have shortened it to Swati (I think). She signs off her emails with her actual name which is causing offence/upset. It's her birth given name though so..🤷🏽‍♀️

Wow Eastie I do love learning new things about the world - I just spent a bit of time down the rabbit hole, this article might be helpful to send to your HR contact... so frustrating for you though, you can't compel someone to change their own given name.

Yesterday was indeed crap. I woke up at 3.30am and couldn’t get back to sleep. DC1 got into my bed at 5am, saying she didn’t feel well, so I got out and left her to sleep. Left at 6.30am for work, cried on the way there. Told my manager that DH plans to leave me/ move out of the house next year, which might mean I can’t come to work anymore as the job is not compatible with any kind of childcare (13hr days and 12hr night shifts), cried a lot more because it’s shit and telling someone for the first time since DH told me his plan made it horribly real, struggled to get through the rest of the shift. The person who was due to take over from me at the end of my shift was nearly 3 hours late due to a genuine emergency, so I left work after 11pm. Went home, made DC1’s packed lunch for school today using the last of the only thing she likes in a sandwich as I obviously didn’t get to the shop during the day, discovered this morning that I didn’t put the lunch bag in the fridge so there was nothing for her lunch today that she agreed to eat which didn’t go down well. Finally went to bed, over 20hrs since I woke up and still couldn’t sleep for ages even though I was exhausted.
Obviously these are minor issues compared to others, but that is my tale of woe for yesterday.

Me too, but when I’ve read some of the heartbreaking stories on here mine is trivial in comparison. I hope today is better for you all.

We have no money until Friday. A stupid bank error on our part means we will be scraping by until then. I cannot finish my Hanukkah/Christmas shopping not take a food delivery.

I woke up in the night with what I believe is my 5th ear infection of this year. I can’t get an appointment with my doctor until 12/15 and all the walk in clinics are not open here.

I had a day off today and planned to do Christmas shopping. My youngest 2 are now isolating from school so I couldn’t and have been stuck in the house all day. Both boys have been playing up all day and dh has rung from work (while driving) 8 times so far to rant/ complain about stuff/ ask me to sort stuff for him.
My Christmas spirit has evaporated completely.
