My tree won't go up for another week at least. No Christmas goodies either, except for the dc's advent calendars. Christmas lasts a few days in our house, not a month!

@Crunched

I'm on my 4th chocolate orange...
Everywhere I shop has sold out of chocolate oranges.

Now I know it's all your fault

If I were slim I'd get the chocolates out now but I'm obese so am making myself wait til xmas eve. I used to start beginning of December

marthastew · 07/12/2020 12:23

Snort laughed in the bakery when the women in front of me bought her 'first mince pie of the year'.

I am deep into this year's research phase.

dasey · 07/12/2020 12:39

The thing is if you leave it all until Xmas then you have tons and who wants to see quality street and mince pies in January? Get it all eaten in December I say.

Anordinarymum · 07/12/2020 20:53

You're all greedy buggers. I finished the bottle of Bailey's off last night. It was very nice. Very very nice actually. So nice in fact - I'll have to buy another for 'Christmas' Ho ho ho :)

We’ve done the quality street & have opened the heroes. I have also managed 2 boxes of hotel Chocolat. December is starting well.

I’ve been very good there’s cheeselets in my kitchen I’ve not touched them more will come at the weekend, marzipan sweets as well not touched 21st December the treats well some of them come out. Must find a cheap box of marzipan sweets for that week the expensive ones are for Christmas Eve day onwards.

I've got cheeselets as well but I won't open them in case there are none left in the supermarket. I can eat a whole cannister of them no problem at all. They are simply the best aren't they ?

Funny you should say that. I've just reached for mine :)

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 07/12/2020 21:09

There seems to be an empty bottle of Christmas Bailey's in my recycling bin...

Holothane · 07/12/2020 21:20

Anordinarymum
They are business I’m the same a canister I’m getting six this weekend they really are my treat at Christmas.

HeronLanyon · 07/12/2020 21:22

I don’t buy snacks until very close to Christmas for exactly this reason !

Molehillfromamountain · 07/12/2020 21:24

Ahem, third tin down here and I'm not counting the boxes of mince pies (it's lots) Xmas Blush

propertyhell · 07/12/2020 21:29

We've done 3 tubs already, no mince pies yet though.

HalfBrick · 07/12/2020 21:32

We're on our third (plastic) tin of chocolates, they go lovely with a cup of tea... and about 4th box of mince pies, half way through the Lidl chocolate Bailey's. Agree with pp who said they didn't like it all hanging around into January. I have put a big sign on the pringles and nuts saying 'for Christmas week' though.

MrsIronfoundersson · 07/12/2020 21:39

I've been eating mince pies since September! Confusingly, hot cross buns are also available- I have no idea of where I am in the year.

Bitchysideisouttoplay · 07/12/2020 21:42

Lol well done on the chocolates making the cupboard mine didnt make it out of my car.......I so spend the majority of my life in the car for work, I didnt eat them all on the way home from the supermarket, just in the course of a 14 hour shift 🤣🤣🙈

Sweettea1 · 07/12/2020 21:49

I buy when there on offer thinking am saving money then have to rebuy because they are eaten straight away I end up opening the selection boxes to give dc a choc bar or something so this year there stored in mums spare room.

Diemme · 07/12/2020 22:03

Same! So depressing, jealous of the people who can afford the calories.

Damnloginpopup · 07/12/2020 22:12

The tibs used to be bigger in the good old days.
