Still in bed with a Brew
Going to cook a roast later and although I've put the trees up I need to decorate a bit and finish making the house look Christmassy
Need to do some online shopping and it's not actually pissing down so a walk will be in order later
And no work tomorrow a bonus Monday off work to fetch DS from uni
The world remains crazy and here I can't even pop to the pub for a Wine Sad

Should add that Dh has done the dinner prep and wrapped both dcs presents this morning

Covid ITU shift 7-2 😷so frosty here this morning! Defrosting car is really one of the most evil chores!...shamelessly straight into pjs & fluffy dressing gown on return home! Chilling out now with a coffee & a (large) slab of apple crumble cake OH made yesterday 👍I may or may not have had a slice for breakfast as well! 🤫

Bluewavescrashing · 06/12/2020 16:11

Got all my cleaning done yesterday. Today I had a lie in, went out for a lovely pub roast dinner with a glass of wine with DH and DCs. Popped to the garden centre to get a few bits. Nice walk. Then home for a film.

I spent 4 hours at the allotment digging raspberry roots, brambles and bindweed out. Knackering, but satisfying!

Hobnobswantshernameback · 06/12/2020 16:28

Managed to drag DS3 out for a walk

I've got a sinus face ache and don't feel like doing much. The DC is doing homework and watching motor racing.

maddiemookins16mum · 06/12/2020 16:40

We’ve just had slow cooker beef stew and dumplings. It was lovely.
Having cherry frangipan tart and cream/custard later.
I’m slobbing on the sofa with Dcat waiting for DP to bring me tea (after they’ve washed up). DD is ironing.
We’re going to watch Avatar in a bit.

niceupthedance · 06/12/2020 16:45

Made everyone breakfast in bed
Walked the dog
Did some chores
Made a roast
Now lying down before the next round of food-making

RumJerrySailorRum · 06/12/2020 16:50

I've been watching the Rugby.
Final of the Autumn Cup

Now trying to decide what to have for tea!

GreatBigBeautifulTommorow · 06/12/2020 16:55

It’s my birthday so we had an afternoon tea delivery and watched Mulan.
Takeaway and another film later after a snow fairy bath and a new book.

HaveANiceFuckingDay · 06/12/2020 16:58

Been in bed watching crap all day , then cooked a quick minted lamb chop dinner
Now watching Big Bang Theory while browsing MN and Tattle and enjoying the waft of cherry candles 20 year old DS has decided he wants to start taking up as a hobby

ikltownofboothlehem · 06/12/2020 17:25

I've just sliced my finger open carving the gammon, which was a new twist. Double plastered up, but at least we know the new knife is sharp. Grin

We've had a lazy Day but actually achieved quite a lot !
I changed our bed while dh visited his dad for breakfast.
DD3 and I went to 2 garden Centres and got some succulents for her new terrarium and planted it up.
Dh and I went for a freezing cold walk and bought a fresh Christmas tree for the dining room which we have just decorated.
I meal planned for the week out the freezer.
We FaceTimed dd2 at uni for a catch up.
I'm off to sort the washing after watching a YouTube tutorial on wreath making and Mumsneting for a few minutes before deciding on dinner later.
DD3 is getting stuff ready for school tomorrow /showering and dh is talking to his sister on the phone while watching the Grand Prix.
A lazy night of tv together tonight.

imamearcat · 06/12/2020 17:44

Had a lie in
Been for a long walk / (cold) picnic with the kids
Been horse riding with my friend
Watched the grinch under the duvet
Ate some cottage pie that DH cooked
Just thinking about doing some homework/reading with DD before getting everyone an early night before the week ahead.

Serena1977 · 06/12/2020 17:52

Had a lie in and then dh bought me eggs, bacon and tomatoes in bed.

Had a long walk with DC then called at the shop for bread and milk.

Had a lovely long bath.

Just listening to dh listen to ds read his school book. It's not going well!

Dd is drawing and colouring.

Salad for tea then apple crumble.

Susiesue61 · 06/12/2020 18:05

I've been to work, still on call till the morning. Sitting watching the North London Derby 🤞 and nursing toothache! DS2 is here and DH made tea, ready for Liverpool after us.
DD has gone back to bed after tea 😊

peaceanddove · 06/12/2020 18:13

DD cooked pancakes + bacon + maple syrup for breakfast. She then drove us (she's learning) to the garden centre in the hunt for a Xmas garland for the fireplace. No joy. But, we spent £££££s at the amazing, but amazingly over priced deli counter.

She drove us to another garden centre and we picked up a stunning red, velvet poinsettia garland that looks gorgeous over the fire. We also bought sleigh bells to hang on the front door, so it jingles every time it's opened.

For dinner, we're eating the Chicken Cordon Bleu fillets from the aforementioned deli counter + feta salad. Followed by apple crumble + custard. Then we're all going to watch a Xmas film together.

Bloody love weekends ❤️

Went to work from 6-12. Came back to an afternoon tea for two that I'd ordered from a local enterprise. I'd been looking forward to it all morning. My expectations were fulfilled. It was so much nicer than the highly Tripadvisor rated tea that we'd had in Devon in October. It was a real pick-me-up. There was enough for the three of us.

I had a little snooze on the settee while DH watched the rugby. He then made dinner and I'm just about to go for a shower now as I'm not having one at 4am tomorrow (I've got work again at 6, this time until 3pm).

While I was at work DH and DD put our new M&S wreath on the front door. It looks great.

I've loved reading what others are doing.
