Still in bed with a Brew
Going to cook a roast later and although I've put the trees up I need to decorate a bit and finish making the house look Christmassy
Need to do some online shopping and it's not actually pissing down so a walk will be in order later
And no work tomorrow a bonus Monday off work to fetch DS from uni
The world remains crazy and here I can't even pop to the pub for a Wine Sad

I'm going to stand in a field for an hour and a half to watch DS play football.

I might moan about it a tiny bit but actually he's really good and it makes my heart soar to see him be happy and excel.

lucysmam · 06/12/2020 10:22

Currently sitting in the kitchen with a cup of tea.

I've found a spare extension lead so can finally put some window lights up with dd2. Dd1's off to town with their dad (they were meant to go yesterday but everyone had a very slow day).

We'll wrap a few small presents & have a chilled day I think. Maybe we'll make some more paper chains for the kitchen.

Roast dinner for tea; I fancy cauli cheese so will make that at some point & some Yorkshires.

DHL are delivering dd1's main present tomorrow so I need to find somewhere to stash it that she won't see.

Whattheduck · 06/12/2020 10:55

Going to prepare a roast to have tonight
Pop to the local Co-op for some bits
Dh wants to go to Costco
After lunch I want to wrap dd’s presents whilst she’s out
Make a list of the few things I have left to get and will probably do some online shopping later and watch a Christmas film

wendz86 · 06/12/2020 11:01

The elves got the kids a gingerbread man making kit from Aldi so we have baked and decorated those.
Have wrapped my sister and neice/nephews presents ready to post as we won't be seeing them.
We are going to a garden centre this afternoon and after dinner one of the decorated houses near us have father Christmas appearing so we will go and have a look.

NeedWineNow · 06/12/2020 11:04

Did my usual Sunday morning Zumba class which is virtual for the time being. Now having breakfast whilst DH is watching the Chelsea/Leeds game which he recorded last night. Did the tree and most of the decorations yesterday but got to do the outside lights. Then writing the Christmas cards, roast dinner and settle down for telly this evening. Busy but still relaxed.

Dotinthecity · 06/12/2020 11:08

Just finishing a very late breakfast in our caravan. The heating's on and it's lovely and cosy. Off for a walk after breakfast then back home for board games, wine and dinner. We're away for whole week and it's lovely.

tessiegirl · 06/12/2020 11:13

Dh just brought me a late breakfast in bed. Now cat and I are lazing in bed together.
Dh and dd downstairs. I've got lesson planning/marking to do for the week and will entertain dd layer so dh can watch the rugby.

Packing up my camping stove to sneak out of tier 3 and meet an old friend for soup and mince pies on the beach.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 06/12/2020 11:38

Popped out for a fry up
Back now to prep for tonight's dinner
Off out for a walk later

Still in bed. Have a cat on me...
Off to collect DS2 from his (illegal) sleepover in a bit, so will try and drag the others out for a drive and maybe have a walk while we're out.
Mountain of laundry to tackle.

Twigletgirl27 · 06/12/2020 12:45

@SimonJT an actual real pub? Tier 3 here so going to a pub is something I can only dream of! Lots of sitting around reading papers here and thinking must do some chores. But, oh, to be able to go out for a 'substantial' meal and a drink.......🍷

Hobnobswantshernameback · 06/12/2020 12:48

Yup, Wales here
No pubs for us til 2021 and no alcohol with a meal in a restaurant any time soon
Cooking roast chicken and apple crumble and custard for dinner tonight
Need something comforting

An actual real pub, I’m so excited, at this point they could serve me shit in a bowl and I would be happy!

Toddlerteaplease · 06/12/2020 13:22

At work. We have three patients for 3 nurses, a support worker and two students. This is not at all normal for this time of year.

MillieMoodle · 06/12/2020 14:57

Had a very lazy morning here, then went over to my parents' to help them put up their outside lights. Had a late lunch and now DC are playing on the Xbox (together, without fighting!) and DH is watching the rugby. I'm going to wrap some Christmas presents this afternoon and DH will watch the football later. When the DC are in bed we'll watch a film. Next week is going to be crazy busy at work so I'm trying not to think about it.

Mintjulia · 06/12/2020 14:57

I love this thread! The guilty sneaking out of tier 3 to share a mince pie on a freezing beach Grin

Weedsnseeds1 · 06/12/2020 15:27

Mintjulia just got back. We had lemon drizzle cake too and sat in our sleeping bags to keep warm!

Weedsnseeds1 · 06/12/2020 15:28

To be fair, our filthy tier 3 case rate is lower than their tier 2 😁

nancybotwinbloom · 06/12/2020 15:32

Nothing!

DH waiting for the Liverpool game, I'm
Making a little mex platter for tea. I say making but I am putting it in the oven in its oven ready trays.

Will do a steak each aswell.

DD chilling on her iPad.

Me reading funny stuff on the internet and mumsnetting

Even the dog is chilling. He's in his heated blanket that used to be mine sleeping

So what's everyone up to this chilly December Sunday
PlateTectonics · 06/12/2020 15:34

Took DD to netball training this morning. Went for a run with a friend. I'll be cooking roast beef later.

louisethedisease · 06/12/2020 15:42

Just finished a 5am-2pm shift. Worn out now but still need to walk the dog if it ever stops raining.

Baileyscoffeeandcampfires · 06/12/2020 15:48

So far
Tesco click and collect followed by Lidl
Spin class at home
Ironing
Packed for Dh and I trip to Cornwall cottage tomorrow
Ds back for Xmas from uni with multiple loads of washing so doing that between ds and I

Currently watching rugby while cooking lamb shoulder roast dinner and drinking gin and ginger

Will watch Grand Prix over dinner while ds goes and picks dd up from work

Not potting tree up as planned as dd and ds are going to do it while we are away . I love having teenagers - so useful

ikltownofboothlehem · 06/12/2020 15:50

I've written up the first part of my Strictly blog for later, two loads of washing and put the gammon in for tea. Having it with mustard mash & buttered cabbage.

ikltownofboothlehem · 06/12/2020 15:51

Oooh @LadyCatStark - you must be fairly near me then. I'm not far from there.
