iamtheoneandonlyyy · 25/11/2020 22:01

Love Michael Macintyre (that spelling looks wrong) his man drawer and the different spellings of names make me laugh every time.
Least..bill Bailey. Liked him on buzzcocks a lot but not a fan of stand up with music

HarryHarryHarry · 25/11/2020 22:04

I don’t live in the UK anymore but somebody recently asked this question on a local Facebook group I’m part of and nearly everybody said their favourite was Michael McIntyre! It made me feel really lonely, like these are obviously not my people.

Norugratsatall · 25/11/2020 22:06

Faves - Dave Allen, Michael Macintyre, Lee Mack, Eddie Izard. Miranda Hart. Oh and Romesh.

Least faves - Alan Carr, Jim Davison.Johnny Vegas, Peter Kay.

ItsAlwaysSunnyOnMN · 25/11/2020 22:27

Favourite Joan Rivers. Chris Rock, Dave Allen, Jack Dee (in his earlier days)

Least favourite quite a bomber of obvious Jim Davids I don’t find Kevin Bridges that funny

So many are overlooked as appear dated. Les Dawson was brilliant

AlwaysLatte · 25/11/2020 22:28

Fave Michael McIntyre
Least fave Keith I'm a Lemon

Pericombobulations · 25/11/2020 22:30

Likes - Ed Byrne, Dave Gorman and Sarah Millican, seen them all live and enjoy their comedy. Also like Dara O'Briain and Adam Hills but have yet to see them.

Dislike has to be Roy Chubby Brown, very unfunny!

ItsAlwaysSunnyOnMN · 25/11/2020 22:31

Quite a few .... (not quite a bomber have no idea where that came from )

AgeLikeWine · 25/11/2020 22:35

Favourite : Tim Minchin. Some say his is too clever, too scathing, too arrogant, and maybe they have a point. His humour certainly isn’t for everyone, but in my view he is a genius.

Least favourite : Chubby Brown, an utterly loathsome, repellant unfunny moron.

NoMoreFlowers · 25/11/2020 22:39

Favourite Bob Mortimer
Least favourite Keith Lemon or any of the cast of Mrs Browns Boys

KnitFastDieWarm · 25/11/2020 22:40

favourite stand ups:
David O'Doherty, Bill Bailey, Adam Hills, Chris Addison, phil wang - have seen them all live and they are a joy every time. What they all have in common is that they are extremely good natured - there’s no malice in their comedy. You leave feeling warm inside and benevolent towards all humanity Grin

Love on panel shows, not sure about their stand up: lee mack, greg davies, jon richardson, katherine ryan, aisling bea.

Hate: jimmy carr (although he’s apparently lovely in real life), frankie boyle, russell howard

KnitFastDieWarm · 25/11/2020 22:41

ooh and lou sanders needs to go in the list somewhere, saw her just before second lockdown trying out new material and she was delightful

FrenchtoEnglish · 25/11/2020 22:45

Love Bill Hicks and Frankie Boyle. Jimmy Carr. Mickey Flannagenmakes me laugh, but it's his délivery more than anything.
Hate Micheal Mckintyre. My sister bought my Mum one of his DVDs for Christmas once and we all had to watch it after dinner. Fucked the whole day. Turbo prick.

BlueJag · 25/11/2020 22:46

Miles Joop.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 25/11/2020 22:54

Favourite Joe Lycett
Least Russel Howard

petridishmystery · 26/11/2020 08:00

I found Michael McIntyre hilarious when he was just starting to get well known but I haven’t followed him since he’s gotten successful so don’t know what he’s like now. I know loads of people don’t like him but he had me and my sister in hysterics when we used to watch him.

Stephen K Amos performed here and had me laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe

Baldrickneepheid · 26/11/2020 08:10

@MrsJackRackham

Watch Tommy Tiernan - Declan Moffitt sketch on YouTube. Brilliant.
My fav stand up routine ever, Tommy is brilliant. Also Billy Connolly.
paganbilly · 26/11/2020 08:27

@boredboredboredboredbored

Keith Lemon - absolutely hideously unfunny.
Absolutely this.

Billy Connolly is great and not just because he's Scottish

Tim Brooke Taylor 😰

CockleburIck · 26/11/2020 08:59

What they all have in common is that they are extremely good natured - there’s no malice in their comedy.

Yes! This is important for me, too. I hate 'comedy' that picks on people or groups of people.
As a child in the 70s there were all those comedians telling jokes about Irish people (they're stupid, haha! Hmm) and mothers-in-law. Horrible.

CandidaAlbicans2 · 26/11/2020 09:05

Likes: difficult to single out particular individuals as I find so many funny in programmes like "Mock The Week"...Tom Allen, Angela Barnes, Ed Gamble, Kerry Godliman...
and only really remember the ones that I find excruciatingly unfunny.
I stumbled upon Dave Gorman's "Life Is Goodish" series recently and liked it so much I binged watched it for hours each day. Clever, witty, and inoffensive

Dislikes/just don't find funny: James Acaster, Rosie Jones, Reginald D Hunter, Johnny Vegas, Billy Connolly, Rik Mayall...
