*Hello Friend,

My client Mr. Chen Shui-Bian has presented a subtle offer that will need the help of a partner like you to complete successfully. Mr. Chen Shui-Bian is in a difficult situation and he must immediately relocate certain sums of money out

and this must be done in such a way that it must not be tied to Mr. Chen.

The money is currently deposited in the name of an existing Investment entity. Your role will be to:
[1]. Act as the original beneficiary of the funds.
[2]. Receive the funds into a business / private bank account.
[3]. Invest / Manage the funds outside of Turkey.
[4]. Value of funds: 45 Million US Dollars.

Everything will be done legally to ensure the rights to the funds are transferred to you. If you agree to partner with Mr. Chen in this partnership business proposal he will compensate you with 30 percent of the total sum.

Should you prefer I re-contact you with more express facts, you can send me your:

[1] Full Names:
[2] Full personal contact address
[3] Telephone Numbers (mobile and office numbers)
[4] Scan copy of your valid ID
[5] Occupation

Sincerely,
Allyson Carlile*

Sounds legit right Grin
I've asked "Allyson" why "Mr Chen" needs my help when they don't know who I am, and how they got my email address. Let's see what they reply, how exciting.

Yes, that sounds like a great opportunity. You must be very pleased to be able to manage $45 million

CatMuffin · 24/11/2020 14:23

It might be helpful if you send your bank details too

pippistrelle · 24/11/2020 14:25

Stop wasting time on here. Accept that subtle offer before someone else snaps it up!

Mr Chen must have heard from his friends the Nigerian princes that people in the UK are always really keen to help them move all their millions around.

sorenipples · 24/11/2020 14:38

Mr Chen is a former president of Taiwan who has faced corruption charges. I guess it adds authenticity to his need to launder 45 million USD.

Higgeldypiggeldy35 · 24/11/2020 14:39

I think you need to tweet this to Joe Lycett. He would have a field day with this.

pippistrelle · 24/11/2020 14:46

Allyson works in HR at Barclays Global, so it's definitely legit.

(I wonder if poor actual Allyson knows about this.)

FrightClub · 24/11/2020 14:49

It's vital that Mr Chen knows the right sort of person is managing his money - that's why he needs to know your occupation. Make sure you put 'venture capitalist' or 'paediatric nurse' and not 'fraud squad'.

Baggingarea · 24/11/2020 14:56

Mr Chen, what is he like.

Although I read the other day you shouldn't respond to phishing emails because it means they send more scams your way.

giletrouge · 24/11/2020 15:15

Is it Donald setting up his new life?

Jaxhog · 24/11/2020 15:23

I got it in a paper letter. Much more convincing!

IntermittentParps · 24/11/2020 15:31

Oh, that's a good one; I'm envious. I was just saying to DP the other day that I slightly miss the spam emails from deposed African princes who just need your bank details so they can deposit a zillion pounds, of which of course you'll get a generous cut.

MrsMoastyToasty · 24/11/2020 15:33

Tell him you're bankrupt.

AnneElliott · 24/11/2020 15:35

Oh yes that's a good one. Much more entertaining than the one I got from DVLA asking me to fill in a form and pay to update my details.

The telephone ones are great though - I have such fun with those!!

Makes a change from a Nigerian prince!
TheChampagneGalop · 24/11/2020 18:47

I've never been contacted by any Nigerian princes sadly, so this is a new experience for me.
Although one time an Indian woman called me from "Windows".

There's an episode of the podcast Reply All that investigates the tech support phone scammers. Well worth a listen. gimletmedia.com/shows/reply-all/6nh3wk

I once had a lady call me from windows so I let her painstakingly talk me through all the steps of letting her have access to my pc, she had to keep repeating lots of steps as I couldn't find the bits she was asking for.... I then asked her if it was because it was a MacBook? She hung up pretty sharpish! Good fun for the 15 or so minutes it lasted!

My daughter also had a call telling her she was entitled to money (she was 15 at the time) for the car accident she was in. She said oh good my parents could really do with the money to pay for my funeral! Call didn't last much longer once it sunk in!

TheChampagneGalop · 24/11/2020 19:57

Barmbraic Oh my god! He actually got him to confess what they were doing. I can't believe that they are making so much money from these scams. Sad.

OP I think this is in very poor taste..loads of people have lost their jobs due to Cpvid and here you are with a perfectly legitimate way of earning loads of money but you've come on here to mock it as if it isnt real.

Stealth boast much?

TheChampagneGalop · 24/11/2020 20:18

I'm sorry Seahorse, if you have money issues and would like to help Mr Chen as well I could send you Ms Allyson's email address, which consists of a lot of random numbers @ australiamail .com (Which doesn't appear to be real website, how strange)

OP posts:
OhToBeASeahorse · 24/11/2020 20:35

Omg lol at austalianmail.com.

No I'm not struggling- I've got loads of money because I sell beauty products in what is definitely NOT A pyramid scheme. Would you like to sign up?

It really scares me that people buy this. Mr Chen and his millions indeed.
