I like The Handmaid's Tale, Brave New World on Sky, Hunger Games, Black Mirror. No zombies please! Any other suggestions?

The Road by Cormac McCarthy. The most depressing book you’ll ever read Grin brilliantly written though!

Lots of JG Ballard is set in a kind of near future where everything is a bit off kilter

The barrier on Netflix . It is in Spanish but you get used to the subtitles. It is set in a dystopian future in Madrid,

I also like this genre!

Never let me go- either the book (Kazuo Ichigiro) or fairly recent film with Carey Mulligan/Keira Knightley/Andrew Garfield.

Grim!

Marge Piercy’s Woman on the Edge of Time - brilliant feminist dystopian novel.

I still have nightmares about the milk bottle in threads!

Chaos Walking series is brilliant. About to be a film which will no doubt be shite.
