OP posts:
ShirazSavedMySanity · 19/11/2020 22:31

9pm and she is up at 6:15 for school.
She goes later at the weekend and is starting to sleep in later too.

She’s 13 in May.

Dontstepinthecowpat · 19/11/2020 22:33

He’s 13 next month but 9 pm into his room and in bed normally he has an audiobook on a 20 min timer. Screen time stops at 8 pm.

GreyishDays · 19/11/2020 22:34

Lights out about 10.30pm. I feel it’s too late but she can’t sleep if we try and bring it forward. She gets up at 7am.

MyEnormousTurnip · 19/11/2020 22:35

Bed at 930 usually asleep before 1030.

User27aw · 19/11/2020 22:35

9.30 to 9.45 on average. Wakes up at 7. Phones off at 8.30

SnapeSnapeSeverusSnape · 19/11/2020 22:38

Just turned 13, 10pm

niceberg · 19/11/2020 22:49

Also 13 in June. Lights out by 9:30. Up by 7am.

Passthecake30 · 19/11/2020 22:52

13 in April. Normally 9.30, up at 7.15. Atm, it’s about 10.20/10.30, after I’m a celeb, and he’s waking up fine. Dd (18mths younger) goes to bed at the same time or all he’ll breaks loose Hmm

Jackparlabane · 19/11/2020 23:04

Usually in bed by 9, asleep by half past, but if he's got a new book we have to extract it by 10pm. Have to get him up at 7.

kmojojana · 19/11/2020 23:08

Same age. Upstairs at 9.30, given faff time, usually asleep between 10-10.15. Weekends sometimes stretch to 9.45

worriedwellworrier · 19/11/2020 23:09

I’ve no idea, she’s in her room most evenings so takes herself to bed when tired. Generally she’s asleep by 10pm I think

miimblemomble · 20/11/2020 06:14

9:30-9:45 usually but he goes to sleep within 15 mins of his head hitting the pillow. Up at 6:45.

DrDreReturns · 20/11/2020 06:21

9.30 on a school night.
My 14 year old goes to be at 10.

hopefulhalf · 20/11/2020 06:24

9-9:30 sometimes will take herself off earlier up at 6:30. She is 14 (just)

BorisandHarriet · 20/11/2020 06:27

Same as passthecake. Normally 9:30/9:45 but a bit later atm due to I’m a celeb. Up at 7.

KittenCalledBob · 20/11/2020 06:34

On a school night my 11yo goes upstairs between 8 and 8.30 and lights off about half an hour later, and my 13yo is asleep by 9/9.30.

Shieldingending · 20/11/2020 06:36

Lights out for 10 which I think is late but it's the habit she got into during lockdown. To be fair she's awake for school ok the next morning

BeaufortScale · 20/11/2020 06:41

Lights off at 8.45 on school nights, as she’s up at 6.30 for school and very physically active so gets tired. 9.15 (not strictly enforced) on non school nights.

Nosuchthingastoomuchcheese · 20/11/2020 06:51

13 year old, 9 ish. Up at 6.40 for school (her choice, 7 would be fine).
Sometimes she does go to bed later if watching something with us.

Londoncatshed · 20/11/2020 06:55

9pm. Used to be later but he was tired. Has not been easy implementing a new time! However up at 6.30am so probably earlier than some.

Toodeloo · 20/11/2020 07:06

She takes herself. No point giving her a “bedtime” when she could flounce it anyway. So she sorts it herself. Some days it’s midnight, others it’s 8pm - but she’s always up easy in the morning and loves a sleep in at the weekends.

Mummyoflittledragon · 20/11/2020 07:08

Dd (12) goes up to her bedroom and chats with her friends, watches YouTube crap or plays online games for a while at about 8 pm. She’s very sensible btw and tells me just about everything - no secret insta or issues with porn, shows me anything inappropriate from her friends etc. I know not all children can be trusted in the same way before anyone tells me we are idiots. She then decides when she’s tired and goes to sleep. Some of the time she just goes to sleep as soon as she goes to bed. The latest is about 10.30pm. Up at 7 am latest. I very rarely have to wake her. Very good at self regulating. Lucky in that respect.

BeaufortScale · 20/11/2020 07:40

Should have said - we’ve set her tech so most apps won’t work after 8, and it stops working completely at 9pm (extra hour allows for homework to be done but avoids tempting screentime right before bed) and won’t switch on again until 6 the next morning.

So pleased to see this in the other comments - was beginning to think we were the only ones with that sort of system

DD goes up after dinner most nights so around 8pm. We ask for lights out at 9pm on a school night.

She has two late clubs (well, under ideal conditions), on these days it is more 9.30-10pm.

Alarm goes at 6am, she gets up at 6.30am.

Electronics are down before dinner.
