It's approaching fast and people are asking what I'd like but I honestly don't know.

So inspire me please with what you received and loved, thank you.

A long weekend in New York. Parents bought us tickets to see Mamma Mia on Broadway while we were there.
I can’t remember what my sisters bought me.
I had some clothes shop vouchers from friends.

Enjoy your birthday 🎉🥂

Twospaniels · 10/11/2020 20:42

We went for 4 days in Spain as a family as I had never been before. I also did a fundraiser and raised £1000 for my favourite charity over the year.

hemhem · 10/11/2020 21:07

My 40th was a few weeks ago. Got a fancy Apple watch that I have been wanting for ages but always felt was too expensive to buy for myself, and an absolutely amazing cake Grin

LadyofMisrule · 10/11/2020 21:09

Pregnant.

crempog · 10/11/2020 21:38

What kind of clock @LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett?
The things I really want people don't seem to think are suitable gifts.

I'm having the same dilemma OP, 40 in the next couple of months. I was due to be celebrating in Vegas but that won't be happening now, a night out in Town is unrealistic at the moment. There's nothing I want or need.

BikeRunSki · 10/11/2020 21:50

I was 50 a few days ago, and obviously no big celebrations were kissable, and a gifts considerably pared down due to furlough, redundancy etc. What did happen though was eveyrbody got a bit thoughtful and creative. Someone knitted me a really nice hat, with a wave pattern because I do a lot of wild swimming. The DC made my veggie enchiladas. A friend made me ice cream, another a delicious curry. I went for 3 x walks with individual friends. I played games iwht my 9 year old I didn't cook for 3 days! Covid has forced lots of small but really thoughtful gestures.

MsInsomniac · 10/11/2020 21:53

The discovery of my ex having an affair and being left as a single parent to a 2 and 5 year old followed by 6 years and counting of utter shit.

I can’t remember! I had a good party though. I can’t even remember what I got for my 50th, which was recent!
