Just need to vent. The world is becoming a colder place because of snowflakes and wet blankets.

OP posts:
Eckhart · 24/10/2020 22:56

Feeling a bit sensitive, OP..?

FrenchBoule · 24/10/2020 22:57

OP, did you mean wet blanket or wet lettuce? Never heard of wet blanket.

I think OP meant snowflake as a person taking an offence very easily and wet blanket is somebody who’s a people pleaser and can’t say “no” in fear of upsetting/offending somebody.

If that’s what you mean OP then I’d agree with you.

Mysterian · 24/10/2020 22:58

Putt the Pritt Stick down and open a window.

Joeblack066 · 24/10/2020 23:01

We wonder why younger people are messed up?!
They’re told to talk about their feelings, then called snowflakes. OP, you are part of that problem. Your type don’t care, you just judge. You don’t listen, you just roll your eyes.
One day, those ‘snowflakes’ will become an avalanche.

CherryPieface · 24/10/2020 23:01

What are you on about?

biscuiteer · 24/10/2020 23:03

Here's what to do: have no idea what is meant by 'snowflake' other than 'some shit people say on the internet' and its other literal meaning, ignore any reference to it online and just ...ignore the whole thing. It's like that Karen shite.

Aridane · 24/10/2020 23:03

@FrenchBoule - this is what Siri tells me a ‘wet blanket’ is

I am sick of snowflakes

Parkermumma07 · 24/10/2020 23:04

Oh my god me to why are people so pathetic and offended by bloody everything, toughen up!! Sometimes things are shit but just bloody well get on with it! No one ever said life was easy

DoTheNextRightThing · 24/10/2020 23:05

That's quite a snowflakey post you've made there, OP.

Inthesameboatatmo · 24/10/2020 23:07

I'm with you op . They make life so boring and you feel like you cant have a laugh for fear of offending anyone. Bring back the old days

FrenchBoule · 24/10/2020 23:08

Thanks @Aridane, mistaken it for wet lettuce (as for no backbone person). Learned something new today 🙂

RufustheSniggeringReindeer · 24/10/2020 23:10

@Audreyseyebrows

‘ An insult, used to mean that a person is too easily insulted or is too sensitive to the opinions. Mainly used by Alt-Right Trumpet blowers, who ironically, don't realize they are the very definition of the insult they love to throw around. Snowflake is used by people who are incapable of using their intellect and their words to make their point in an intelligent manner. Look at that Alt-Right snowflakes pitching a fit over people they think do not sufficiently engage in flag worship.’

Are you an Alt-right Trumpet blower op?

Yes id agree with this
jessstan1 · 24/10/2020 23:12

No snow here in SE London but we've had some rain. I don't let my bedclothes get wet.

Audreyseyebrows · 24/10/2020 23:14

I'm with you op . They make life so boring and you feel like you cant have a laugh for fear of offending anyone. Bring back the old days
When racism and homophobia were acceptable? When you could use awful words to describe someone with a physical disability or mental impairment?

Yeah! Do that! Great idea!

Great post op! Absolutely rocking it!

feistyoneyouare · 24/10/2020 23:16

BLASTPROCESSING · 24/10/2020 23:28

yawn

Wiredforsound · 24/10/2020 23:31

You’re the one whining about snowflakes, ya big wet blanket. Jesus, some people are never happy.

feministfemme · 24/10/2020 23:37

I'd rather be a snowflake than stuck on the wrong side of history!

MoonJelly · 24/10/2020 23:39

I'm rather sick of people who use facile terms like "snowflakes". IME most people who use that term sound intolerant, inadequate, and lacking in basic vocabulary.

dottiedaisee · 24/10/2020 23:40

I am not a fan of the term snowflakes!! People of limited vocabulary use it...explain!

Lavanderrose · 24/10/2020 23:42

Tell me about it! 1,900 snowflakes made a complaint to Ofcom about Alesha Dixon’s necklace.

blueangel19 · 24/10/2020 23:44

Omg snowflakes triggered alert!

Theimpossiblegirl · 24/10/2020 23:44

I tend to find snowflakes are warm.

feministfemme · 24/10/2020 23:44

@Lavanderrose That's the racists, not relating to the standard use of the word "snowflake" (e.g. typically young, very liberal people)
