I was today years old when I found out blah blah blah

You go girl!

Out for a cheeky

Wow. Just wow.

That would look great with a bold red lip and a grey trouser.

There are loads of these ridiculous statements that piss me off. No it doesn't matter and yes I have bigger things to worry about, yes it's been done before but let's have a moan anyway. 😁

No regrets

= I don't take responsibility for my actions

ShowOfHands · 18/10/2020 12:26

If you know, you know.

Smug twats. Just explain what you mean. If you want to join a secret club, fuck off with Julian and Anne and George and the rest of the Smuggingtons.

And stop saying super. Super excited, super happy, super worried.

coffeewithmilk · 18/10/2020 12:27

'It'll happen when the time is right'
'At least you can get pregnant'

Two phrases very much HATED by me after suffering 3 losses this year. People are so insensitive.

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 18/10/2020 12:29

You do you

BingityBongity · 18/10/2020 12:32

'My bad' sets my teeth on edge.

@coffeewithmilk, ugh, people are idiots. I'm sorry.

I get the 'Isn't it about time you started a family?' often from acquaintances.

I don't want to have to tell yet more people that I can't have children and that my partner doesn't want to explore any other option, and isn't really that bothered about fatherhood anyway.

Readandwalk · 18/10/2020 12:33

It is what it is.

BadDucks · 18/10/2020 12:35

Not really a saying but I hate it when people post “how much spends do you have for yourself” or “DH and I have equal spends after bills”
Don’t know why but the term spends used in this way makes me shabby. As does “making/having a brew”

BadDucks · 18/10/2020 12:36

Stabby not shabby!

Drysnitchinsbitchin · 18/10/2020 12:36

You got this
(shudders)

I don't like cats - I wouldn't hurt one
(Why is this said only about cats?)

You get what you pay for
(Not necessarily- I've paid over the odds for items and trades and still got poor service)

Cam2020 · 18/10/2020 12:36

All of those are all so annoying! I personally hate holibobs and famalam. Absolute rage inducing. Also, 8O% of cries of 'LTB' on Mumsnet - half the time the miscreant has committed some completely inane and simply thoughtless offence (like human beings do, sometimes).

coffeewithmilk · 18/10/2020 12:36

@BingityBongity thank you. People really are such arseholes at times. Always nosying into other peoples business
I'm sorry also

paddingtonbearsmarmalade · 18/10/2020 12:37

I hate “it’s always in the last place you look”. Of course it is. You wouldn’t keep looking after you’ve found it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Angry

JudgeRindersMinder · 18/10/2020 12:37

We’re pregnant. What, you and your bloke?

JulesM73 · 18/10/2020 12:38

Hun - sets my teeth on edge. It’s just wrong to read/hear “thanks hun”.

Langsdestiny · 18/10/2020 12:39

I hate be kind and stay safe.

janaus50s · 18/10/2020 12:39

It is what it is

Give it up for .... celebrity thing, applause. So American.

PleasantVille · 18/10/2020 12:40

I hate most sayings, just say what you mean

I doubly hate stupid things like it's a bit black over Bill's mother's or whatever it is, use normal English ffs

Ingridla · 18/10/2020 12:41

It's not a saying but I hate being asked if I have just the one child. Yes I do because his older brother died thank you for asking. Instead I smile and nod yes whilst inside dying at his existence being erased to spare the discomfort of a stranger.

janaus50s · 18/10/2020 12:41

Another one, people such as hairdressers calling customers ... hun, darl, Babe, Luv. Sounds like hooker talk.

MalorieSnooty · 18/10/2020 12:42

'Speak as I find'.

No, MIL, you're a rude, insecure person with a billion unresolved issues and no faith in anyone, least of all yourself. Perhaps, just perhaps, others have their areas of expertise, or their own way of keeping things ticking over, which work for them and their lives.

Hmm
orangefuzz · 18/10/2020 12:42

'Been there, done that' Seriously, do one with your patronizing crap...mother!

FippertyGibbett · 18/10/2020 12:43

Moving forward 😡

selfishjeanss · 18/10/2020 12:44

‘It’s a joke’, when something is as far from funny as could be.

WhatamessIgotinto · 18/10/2020 12:47

'You do you'

Oh god yes, I HATE this!

Another one for me is 'I just say what everyone else is thinking'.

What a load of shite. It's an excuse to be a dickhead to someone and then tell them that's what everyone else thinks when it very likely isn't. Same with 'I just tell it how it is'. No, you're a rude arsehole.
