I am playing my second favourite game this evening (after the Rightmove game) of looking all the different Masters degrees on FindaMasters. Some of them sound so interesting.

MSc Political Research

I'm more proud of it than my doctorate. My learning curve went off the page during my Masters year.

Absolutely!

My MSc was the most intensive and rigorous of my qualifications, and the year I did it, very hard.

I wish I could go back and do it again, I loved it!

And a second one in education which was a bit pointless!

Political Science

Nothing vocational about it - it really dint lead to a job. But I've been a charity campaigner and policy advocate for most of my career. I now have an OBE for setting up a nationwide campaign. Yup that's a boast.

MBA. Loved it (but god, it was hard work - worked full time while studying part time).

Earth Sciences. It was a 4th year in the same course of study, you could leave after three with the Bachelors or do the 4th year and get a Masters. Included a research project but sometimes I feel it wasn't a "real" masters.

@Purplecatshopaholic

agreed that an MBA while working full time can be tough. Without the people at work to supply examples and ideas, though, I would never have made it.

peanacat · 17/10/2020 21:31

Chemistry. Just did a standard 4 year Masters degree straight off. Haven’t used it 😂

sm40 · 17/10/2020 21:31

To the person up thread who did forensic psychology upthread what was it like.

Also I have a masters as part of my degree (no choice as it was a 4 year course). Would I get funding, as looks like I'll be excluded.
