If they involve any sort of travel...cancel them Sad

Makinglists · 16/10/2020 18:45

Totally up in the air! We're booked to a remote part of Wales (we are level 1 and relative low numbers,) but expecting it to be off if Wales introduced lockdown on Monday (don't blame them if they do)

SplunkPostGres · 16/10/2020 18:47

I’d just planned 1 day, 1 sodding day out for half term, in our local lockdown area, and now Mark Sodding Drayford is talking about a circuit breaker. I’ll be working for the rest of it. So close to losing it now. So sick of having to make sacrifices for other people when no one cares at all about how this is impacting single people/single parents

BrokenBrit · 16/10/2020 18:48

Woodland walks
Home movies
Baking
Faking being cheerful

LadyCatStark · 16/10/2020 18:49

Tier 3 so... nope 🤷‍♀️

formerbabe · 16/10/2020 18:53

No idea...can't imagine it will be very exciting.

IntentIntel · 16/10/2020 18:54

Holiday club for DC, home for me Grin

ShinyGreenElephant · 16/10/2020 18:57

Got both step kids for the week, husbands working for most of it, and were getting our new bathroom put in. I've got loads of fun indoor just the family plans but I think its mainly going to involve stopping the little ones falling down the drain or eating grout, and stopping the older ones killing each other

MrsJonesAndMe · 16/10/2020 20:01

Working 3 days a family walk somewhere new on day 4 and orthodontist on day 5. Had hoped teen could have 2 friends round for a scary movie, but looks doubtful so working on plan B.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 16/10/2020 20:13

Working most of it. Hoping to take DS pumpkin picking and on a Halloween trail. We are tier 2.

BlackberrySky · 16/10/2020 20:17

Theme parks

Chaotic45 · 16/10/2020 20:18

Working. Teen DS will be at home, seeing his mates is tricky atm and he's not at age to want to spend a great deal of time with his old mum. I'll be allowing copious amount of screen time and social media chat Confused.

I walk dogs and feed cats for a living. Am run off my feet with cat bookings next week so people are still going away!

You can still go to the park. Or local walks. Or home baking. Crafts. Or a local farm in the area. Visit the library. Have pyjama day. Have a movie night.
dottycharlotti · 16/10/2020 20:29

I'm going to hold a seance with my bubble and try and contact Elvis

clipclop5 · 16/10/2020 20:30

Travelling to Bath!

Crunchymum · 16/10/2020 20:31

Nothing. Was trying to book a dental check up for the kids but the surgery hasn't answered it's phone all week.

Weather dependent it will be local parks / canal walks / several lazy days.

burglarbettybaby · 16/10/2020 20:32

Very tight lock down here so a local forest that have Halloween activities. I will bake with the dc (have monster eyes and black icing etc)

Going to do some kind of treasure hunt I think. Other than that I will try and read a bit (bought the book Where the Crawdads sing)

SoloMummy · 16/10/2020 20:45

I'm really not sure why there has to be so much negativity. Its still a week off school and surely as parents we all have the ability and should have the motivation to want to make it an enjoyable week?
It sounds as though for many they need a crash course in back to basics parenting where events or planned activities or holidays are not used to occupy the child and pass the responsibility and experience over to someone else.

Didyousaynutella · 16/10/2020 20:50

Holiday club for three days! Walking, coastal promenade scooting and playground dwelling the rest of the time.

That’s a nice supportive post, very empathetic.

IggyAce · 16/10/2020 21:01

I’ve got pumpkin picking and Beamish booked. The rest will be walks, movies, baking and we will put up some Halloween decorations.

kitschplease · 16/10/2020 21:04

I've got a week off too - walks, baking, a playdate or too if allowed. It will be quiet but I can't wait!

Ohdoleavemealone · 16/10/2020 21:10

Just been their birthdays so plenty of new toys they can play with.
Craft, baking, cooking, local horse sanctuary, park, walks.

MrsWombat · 16/10/2020 21:14

Pumpkin picking assuming there is no circuit break.

Ohdoleavemealone · 16/10/2020 21:17

Oh and a Halloween party!
