Do you ever buy something to please your 13 year old self?

I was out shopping today and saw a pair of tailored going out shorts which are almost completely identical to a pair I had when I was 13. I thought I was the bee's knees in my smart shorts, leggings, ballet flats and plastic jewellery Grin

I haven't a clue where I'm going to wear them but my inner 13 year old self is so giddy with joy that I can wear them with BARE LEGS and high heels if I like Grin My mum would never have let me out like that!

Er.. so Heather Shimmer isn’t a stylish shade then? Just asking for a friend

I regularly reread my old childhood books
Buy myself Farleys rusks ( not as good as I remember but I keep trying)
I’m going pencil case shopping shortly because I have a new desk for WFH so need a new pencil case obviously

I did today. I bought a moon lamp from Poundland. It lights up like the moon. I also like to read the Famous Five or watch Tintin if I'm feeling unwell, or even when I'm fine!

I still really want one of these. I’d assumed it would be bonkers, but after reading this thread I’m wondering...

I bought some Tracy beaker stickers I saw in Poundland the other day. No idea what I will do with them

If anybody wants Enid Blyton books, lots are available on Fadedpage free of charge.

I bought the Sadlers Wells ballet books by Lorna Hill a few years ago, I reread them so many times as a child. Also bought myself a Sasha doll on Ebay as I wanted one when I was about 12 but they were too expensive. It wasn't the same as having one when you're a child and I sold it again about a year later.

Pregnancy insomnia and lockdown boredom has just persuaded me to buy a 15 pack of random colours of Barry M nail varnish! I'm excited to see what colours arrive, and to actually be able to paint my nails (normally can't paint nails for work but on mat leave) Grin
