What are your favourite fridge door canapés?

Currently enjoying a piece of cheddar with a blob of salad cream whilst awaiting dinner.

Slice of ham with a squeeze of mustard in the centre and rolled up

Cheese, cheese, cheese.

I've found my people...I thought this was just my guilty secret! Spoonfuls of peanut butter or a roll up of ham/ cured meat and cheese...mmmm

Falafel with a melon-chunk chaser

A chunk of wensleydale cheese wrapped in a slice of chorizo

Slice of corned beef! Or I take a bite out of the block of cheese, then blame the children.

Slice of cheddar cheese and a good blob of wholegrain mustard.

Why are people keeping peanut butter in the fridge? What madness is this!

DH just walked and had a fridge canape in front of me! He's obviously not getting the subterfuge element. He had chicken wings.

Why are you all dirtying spoons unnecessarily?! I stick my finger in the peanut butter! In my defence I’m the only one who eats it. Same with Philadelphia.

Or, a cold sausage. I would do almost anything for a cold sausage. I always cook extra then hide the spares in the vegetable drawer of the fridge, safe in the knowledge that no-one except me ever goes there.

A slice of two of M&S garlic sausage, normally while waiting for the kettle to boil. Damn you, working from home!

Cocktail sausage (Quorn or meat) with sweet chilli sauce.
Mini scotch egg.
A few grapes or blueberries.

Piece of sandwich meat with mustard or salad cream squirted on it then rolled up.

Ham slice around a dairy Lea triangle

Slice of water thin ham with a squirt of sagas cream on then rolled up.

Chuck of cheese with a slice of red onion.

If I have leftover roast meat (chicken, pork, beef) I'll slice a piece abc dollop the appropriate condiment on it.

Brie ! I eat it straight out the packet with a glass of Malbec.

Behind the fridge door enjoying nectarine or peach with cottage cheese.

(Occasionally ruined by DH asking "What IS it that you're looking for in that fridge?")

Cheese string and some spicy olives

Slice of ham, slice of cheese rolled up together.

Slice of cucumber or red pepper topped with either hummus or a chunk of Parmesan.

Of the classic- lump of cheddar au naturale. Nom.

M&S cocktail sausages. Hunk of cheese. Ham that I have to share with the begging bastard cats. Very dark chocolate. Spoonfuls of peanut butter, lotus spread or chocolate spread.

Just to ensure calm, I expanded the fridge canapé to the baking cupboard canapé for mine.

Not peanut butters were harmed during my snacking.

I'm putting anyone who keeps nut butter or chocolate spread in the fridge in the same category of person as my DP who puts chocolate bars in the fridge. We've been arguing about this for nearly 15 years and he still does it despite me even once sourcing actual scientific research that he was wrong.

Doesn't stop me pinching some of his cold fridge chocolate though . Today he had minstrels in there.
