Are you letting other kids into your house?

DC spend all day playing with the neighbour's kids (who have just come back from Italy) but the weather is so foul at the moment that they can't play out. In two minds as to inviting them in or not. So far since lockdown, we've only had DD's best friend inside the house - as they're inseparable at school it seemed pointless to refuse.

No.. We aren't allowed in our area do haven't.

unchienandalusia · 06/10/2020 18:25

Nonamesavail · 06/10/2020 18:25

No. In scotland, so not allowed

GalesThisMorning · 06/10/2020 18:27

Yes. 2 of them. They are in the same bubble in school, live on our street, and at the moment kids under 11don't need to social distance. I really hope that doesn't change as it's made life so much easier, having play dates. I'm not sure if we're meant to though. The parents don't come in and vice versa, parents in the garden only.

kimlo · 06/10/2020 18:28

no, but we aren't allowed to mix households at all, if it was the rule of six then I woukd.

Drinkingallthewine · 06/10/2020 18:28

Here in Ireland we are moving to level 3 at midnight which means 6 max from one other household. He only plays with a gang of siblings, one of whom is in his class at school so it's all the same really.

firstimemamma · 06/10/2020 18:31

Yes we are.

MrsWooster · 06/10/2020 18:33

Yes. They’re in the same bubble at school. Not if it takes us above 6, and no adults from another household.

megletthesecond · 06/10/2020 18:34

No.
More than happy to have them all playing outside. But no one in here.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 06/10/2020 18:35

Not allowed due to our local lockdown so we’re not.

It’s definitely harder for the kids with this combination of the increased restrictions, the dark nights and wet weather as well as missing most of their normal activities because they’re in a different county.

MrsDeltaB · 06/10/2020 18:38

We have let my older two have one friend alternate, normally the same one or two. Us parents check in with each other that they are ok with it and totally understand if not. So far no one has declined. Three DD here, older ones at the same school. Live together but can't sit together on the bus!

*dont get me wrong I know this is all bonkers and there isn't a rule book to refer to but some of it is just ludicrous

arethereanyleftatall · 06/10/2020 18:39

Yes. No problem.

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 06/10/2020 18:39

Yes. Our neighbours' DC have come over and another friend. They're all in the same bubbles at school though.

supoort · 06/10/2020 18:40

I have, it's only kids that my kids are in school with so in contact all day anyway.

FraterculaArctica · 06/10/2020 18:40

No. It's allowed (well, could have 1, as there are 5 of us here already) but we don't.

Changethetoner · 06/10/2020 18:46

No. Not allowed where I live at present. Nobody is allowed inside each other's houses. And children are people, are they not? So, NO.

Bookridden · 06/10/2020 18:49

No, but nothing to do with Covid, I just can't stand them Grin

Lockdownseperation · 06/10/2020 18:51

No. It’s illegal where we are.

Dockray · 06/10/2020 19:02

We have local lockdown but even before that we didn't have other kids in or let ours go to others. The only exception was when Ds1's friend hurt himself and they came to ours to get patched up as we were nearest and his parents were out. That was an emergency and even then we kept him distanced as much as possible.

Dockray · 06/10/2020 19:03

But I like @Bookridden's answer!

TooManyPlatesInMotion · 06/10/2020 19:04

Yes, they are in the same bubble at school.

ChristmasTree999 · 06/10/2020 19:05

Yes, loads of them. But I am a childminder so I kind of have to let them in 😆

AmICrazyorWhat2 · 06/10/2020 19:09

We’re allowed to here so each child has had their two closest friends over at different times.

Everyone wore masks and they’re outside most of the time anyway.

Awrite · 06/10/2020 19:10

Shit, are children under 12 not allowed in other people's houses in Scotland? I thought they were.

So, to answer your question- I have been.
