Are you letting other kids into your house?

DC spend all day playing with the neighbour's kids (who have just come back from Italy) but the weather is so foul at the moment that they can't play out. In two minds as to inviting them in or not. So far since lockdown, we've only had DD's best friend inside the house - as they're inseparable at school it seemed pointless to refuse.

@Ffsnosexallowed - thanks, I guess I better stop allowing it. I really thought my son's friend's Mum would be a stickler for the rules.

Mea culpa though, I should know this. Have just been so busy with work.

Only with those from their school bubble - same with our friends, those from school. Rule of six.

Yes.

Not allowed here as under local lockdown.

Lazypuppy · 06/10/2020 22:42

Of course.

MinnieMountain · 07/10/2020 07:00

Yes. DS is having 2 birthday teas next month to keep within the rules.

autumnboys · 07/10/2020 07:03

Yes, we’ve had one kid at a time over - there are 5 of us, so that’s how many we can have, or I would happily have two.

SahmedOut · 07/10/2020 07:28

No, no restrictions would be broken. It's just....so much easier when they're all out in the garden! Covid is a very convenient excuse and I'm not sure if I'm using it too much.
We have a bit that issue too BogRollBOGOF Lockdown is the first time DS has had friends to play with, he doesn't have friends at school and no one from his class ever accepts invitations to come over to play.

We’re doing play dates as normal. They’re all at school together anyway.

DilemmaDerby · 07/10/2020 07:43

Yes. Not all and not deliberately organising sleepovers, but a friend with 2 kids does some school drop offs for me and it’s ludicrous they are together all day, playing a contact after school sport together, sitting in the same car, but can’t come in for a cuppa on drop off as it makes 7 not 6. Shoot me.

SomewhereEast · 07/10/2020 08:14

Yes

CeeceeBloomingdale · 07/10/2020 08:16

No, we are in a local lockdown area though so it's not permitted. I would if it was allowed.

Takeitonthechin · 07/10/2020 08:21

NO.... we haven't had anyone else's children in our house since lockdown in March

user1494050295 · 07/10/2020 08:29

Similar to Book. Using Covid as an excuse if I don’t want them in my home.

Nomnomarrgh · 07/10/2020 10:01

Yes, just her friends who live a few doors away. Funny situation here. When she’s at her dad’s, its lockdown, so its not allowed there (a few streets away)

vinoandbrie · 07/10/2020 11:55

Not allowed due to local lockdown.

FrancesFlute · 07/10/2020 11:59

I have a toddler who hasn't started nursery yet. We've only had two little friends round since July easing. Both times, DS has ended up with picking up really bad colds from both - we've had to self-isolate and get him a test each time. Not ideal as DH works in NHS! DS really enjoyed himself and I was so desperate for the social interaction, but I'm not going to do it again at the moment.
