For love nor money cannot find kitchen hand towels

Do they still exist? Went to Dunelm and various large supermarkets - they only seem to sell tea towels.

Did kitchen hand towels stop being a 'thing'? How do people dry their hands?

I ended up buying a bathroom hand towel, but it's far too big for kitchen use really.

Please could someone direct me to some online? I've been searching half an hour and feel like I'm cracking up!

That drives me mad too, people using the tea towel to dry hands. I know what you mean, they're thinner and smaller than bathroom hand towels.

I have these

@Mamagotskills

I’ve learned way more than expected on this thread (I just use tea towel) but I have a question... why do guests get smaller towels? Full size guests I’m assuming? Had no idea a guest towel was a thing

I've never understood this either. To my mind they're just hand towels!

I am intrigued as to how drying your clean hands on a tea towel can be "revolting". How? Your hands are clean, because you've just washed them.
I'll give you, "makes the tea towel uselessly soggy", but revolting? Why?

How are they too big? My hands are the same size in the kitchen and the bathroom.

I've never understood why guests need smaller towels than the permanent residents. Who are these tiny visitors, all my guests are regular sized.

I've just got normal hand towels in the kitchen for hands and normal tea towels for dishes.
I don't like those tea towel/towel hybrid things they're too fluffy for dishes and too thin for hands.

I ordered some on Amazon a couple of months ago

Agree a kitchen hand towel should be similar size to a tea towel but made of the same stuff as a bathroom towel. I have some 'guest towels' but they are still too small and only last about two hand washes! Try American companies. I inherited a set from the previous American owners of our house - they match the decor in the downstairs loo and a the perfect size for the little towel rail in there, and would in my mind be the right size for the kitchen too (in bed and too lazy to go check the labels or measure Grin).

I do the same as PickAChew: tea towels are used first for dishes, then for hands and then into wash, at least 2 per day, plus paper towels as well.
